Cassandra Ronaldson

Cassandra has over ten years of experience in the Cayman Islands and Australia managing a variety of corporate insolvency and advisory appointments. During her career, Cassandra has acquired experience working with stakeholders of distressed entities across a wide range of industries, including investment funds, retail, nonprofit, property, mining services and agriculture. Cassandra has expertise in international financial restructuring, litigation support, regulatory reviews, domestic and international insolvency appointments. Cassandra has a Bachelor of Commerce (Majoring in Accounting) and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

John Royle

John is a Board member of RISA and has been a member of RISA since its inception in 2012. In addition, John has been on the Education & Training Committee since its establishment. John has over 22 years' experience in restructuring and insolvency, and, before moving to the Cayman Islands over 10 years ago, worked in the financial services and restructuring field in England. He has worked on a variety of engagements, both solvent and insolvent, including voluntary, provisional and official liquidations and both creditors and shareholder resolutions procedures. John has acted as Court appointed Receiver on various enforcement matters and SPC structures. John has also led local forensic and asset tracing investigations. Given John's insolvency qualifications, he also takes a number of solvent Irish voluntary liquidations where Cayman is the residency for tax purposes. John is a qualified insolvency practitioner under the JIEB system from 2008, a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (UK) and holds his insolvency licence with The Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales. John is also a member of INSOL. In 2018 and 2019, John was named Insolvency Practitioner of the Year by RISA.

Martin Trott

Martin specialises in corporate restructuring and insolvency, as an insolvency practitioner in the Cayman Islands and qualified accountant with over 27 years' experience. He is a director of R&H Restructuring (Cayman) Ltd., which is an affiliate of Rawlinson & Hunter in the Cayman Islands, of which Martin is a partner. In addition to the Board, Martin is on the Legal & Regulatory committee and is the RISA appointee to the Insolvency Rules Committee. He is a fellow member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. He has broad experience in leading complex administrations, liquidations and receiverships across a number of industry sectors. He has significant cross border experience having worked with corporates in the UK, US, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, the Middle East, Ireland, British Channel Islands, the Far East and continental Europe.

Nicholas Fox

Nicholas Fox is a Partner and the Local Practice Leader of Mourant's Litigation and Insolvency department in the Cayman Islands office. He joined Mourant in 2010 and has over 12 years' experience of litigation in the Cayman Islands and BVI. Nicholas has extensive experience in fraud and asset tracing, insolvency and financial services litigation, as well as regulatory matters. He has acted on a large number of complex, high value fraud and asset tracing cases. He has advised a substantial number of liquidators and receivers on many complex and high-value cross border disputes and restructurings. He also regularly advises and acts in cases in the financial services and cryptocurrency sectors. Before joining Mourant, Nicholas worked at another leading offshore law firm. Prior to that, he spent over seven years practising at the London Bar. Nicholas is also a fellow of INSOL. He has four children, two dogs, one wife (RISA lawyer of the year 2021/22) and is a great admirer of Jurgen Klopp.

Spencer Vickers

Spencer has over a decade of experience in insolvency, restructuring and cross-border litigation. Spencer advises clients on a wide range of complex disputes, with specific experience in the financial services, insurance and energy industries. Spencer regularly advises insolvency practitioners, creditors of distressed entities and shareholders. He has managed a number of large litigation matters to trial and frequently assists clients with urgent applications, including, for example, to appoint provisional liquidators. Spencer is an experienced advocate, appearing before the Courts of the Cayman Islands on a regular basis. Spencer is admitted as an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands and was previously admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. In addition to being a Board member of RISA, Spencer is a member of the RISA Education Committee, which he joined in 2019. Spencer is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and a member of INSOL.
