Mark Johnson

Owning a hair salon and day spa of the highest quality has been the lifelong goal of Mark Johnson. He began his successful career 28 years ago at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles and later on Fifth Ave in New York. It was there that Mark developed strong skills in cutting and coloring and adopted the motto "It"s the cut that counts." Next he worked with master Roger Thompson at Barneys NY, and editorial hairstylist, Bob Recine. During this time Mark began being recognized for his work on runway shows styling the locks of supermodels such as Stephanie Seymour, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, and Tyra Banks. Mark Johnson was the highest earning stylist in the history of the renowned Space Salon, now known the Thompson Street Salon, featured on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and ABC news fashion. In addition to servicing hundreds of devoted clients, Mark directs the education of junior stylists at the salon. He has always believed that a strong technical background, coupled with a creative eye is the key to success. Mark"s work has been featured in major fashion magazines including Allure, Glamour and Cosmopolitan. Celebrity clients have included Sarah Jessica Parker, Chloe Sevigny & Paula Abdul, designers Mary McFadden & Betsy Johnson, as well as Academy Award winning director Barbara Kopple. Through years of world-class experience Mark has learned what the well-appointed woman appreciates when it comes to her beauty and relaxation. He believes hair should be "natural and free: "A sexy expression of one"s self." Mark uses a wide variety of tools and products to create a personal style for each and every client, strives for the highest quality of service and is a visionary in cutting and coloring techniques.

Maurice Peterson

Prior to his ten years as owner and general manager of SEVEN, Maurice Peterson"s background includes years of fashion-related experience in television and the Internet. In television he was writer and producer of the international television series, Models, Profiles and Fantasies, where he shot segments and interviewed such fashion icons as Gianni Versace, Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks in New York, France and Italy. As Executive Producer at RDA Interactive, and ACG Communications he produced major websites for Nivea skin care, designer Todd Oldham, and Cosmogirl magazine.
