Job Titles:
- Volunteer Development Officer
Amani has been volunteering with the club since 2019. She is now our Volunteer Development Officer and is responsible for the recruitment, management and development of volunteers. Her aim is to improve our organisational capacity to provide opportunities for skills and personal development.
Ammar joined the club's board of trustees in 2021 when he was the Community Engagement Manager at Cricket Scotland, who we have developed a strong partnership with to deliver local cricket sessions.

My name is Atif Javaid, currently working as a Manager in the Hospitality sector, serving the community from my time at ALC, to now organising personalised events and occasions for our clients.
Gregor became Active Life Club's first ever full-time member of staff in January 2021. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the club and leads our team of staff and volunteers to deliver services for the community. Gregor's background is in sports coaching and development where he has over 10 years' experience working with children and young people.

Imran Shariff is currently working as a Business Manager for the NHS and has been with Active Life Club for over 15 years. Within this time, Imran has held senior positions
including Treasurer and Secretary. Imran brings a range of skills to the Active Life Club including policy development, strategic planning and coaching.
Imran has also supported the committee in developing various funding applications and also helped develop the Business plan. He is actively involved in helping the committee prepare for its 25th anniversary celebration.
Imran has been involved with the club for several years and was previously the club's vice chair and treasurer. He has over 20 years' experience working for the NHS and is the current Equality & Diversity Manager at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

Imtiaz has been involved with Active Life Club for 18 years, starting as a young person attending ALC sessions. He then benefited from the support he received and moved onto being a Youth Worker. He has held various roles on the board including vice chair and secretary.
Khadija joined Active Life Club as a volunteer in 2019. She completed over 200 hours of volunteering with the club whilst completing her degree in BA (Hons) Accountancy. She became a member of staff in January 2021 and is now the Admin and IT Officer of the club. She enjoys working with children and has a passion to develop young people and help them achieve their full potential.
Razaq has been offering support to ALC for many years and currently utilises his expertise in finance to manage the assets of the club. He has been Executive Director at WSREC since 2003. A former councillor in Glasgow, he is also a qualified interpreter, badminton coach and keen charity fundraiser.

Mohammed Razzaq - Secretary
Born in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, worked in retail business 1970-1995. Graduated (1997) with BA Business Administration (Majoring in Computing).
Retired in 2022 as CEO of West Scotland Regional Equality Council. Served as elected Councillor with Glasgow City Council (2003-2017).
Presently serving as Chair of Glasgow Central CAB, Treasurer of Vision Again Foundation and an ambassador for both Queens Cross Housing Association and Age Scotland.

- Building Consultant for the Council of Ethnic Minority Voluntary Organisations
Nadeem Hanif currently works as a Capacity Building Consultant for The Council of Ethnic Minority Voluntary Organisations (CEMVO) based in Glasgow. He works closely with voluntary sector organisations that are led by people with lived experience of belonging to an ethnic minority community and supports them to build their capacity.
Nadeem is a Capacity Building Consultant with CEMVO Scotland who has been supporting ALC for 2 years. He joined the board in April 2022 and provides expertise in governance, recruitment, funding and more.

Raza Sadiq, a founding member and multi-award-winning community leader, is renowned for his exceptional contributions to community development, sports, and inclusion. As the Chairperson of the Active Life Club, Raza brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in fostering equality and transforming communities. With a background as a careers adviser at Skills Development Scotland, he is dedicated to raising awareness of challenges faced by disadvantaged groups and advocating for fair and accessible services for all. His passion for promoting inclusivity and his commitment to driving positive change have earned him numerous accolades for his unwavering dedication to creating a more harmonious and supportive community.
Raza is the founder and chairperson of ALC. He is committed in developing young people and local communities to become active citizens and challenge inequalities. Raza was recognised as the best youth organisation chairperson in Scotland and has shown great leadership in transforming Active Life Club to become a hub for the community to prosper.
Saba has been volunteering with ALC for several years and joined our Board of Trustees in 2022. She regularly helps out at activities and has made large numbers of goodie bags for several projects.

Sabrina Raza's passion and dedication have been instrumental in empowering women to drive and become independent, as well as promoting mental and social wellbeing within the community through fitness classes. Her 26 years of experience as a driving instructor and
20 years of service to Active Life Club have greatly impacted the lives of many, making her an invaluable member of our team. Her contributions to organising community events and amplifying the voices of women have been truly impactful. As a multi-award winner for her outstanding commitment to the community, Sabrina's efforts have left a lasting legacy on the lives of many, making her an indispensable asset to our organisation.
Sabrina has been volunteering with the club since its inception and provides much needed secretarial duties. She is a driving instructor, bringing 20 years' experience of working with learners and coaching them to become safe drivers.
