After graduating from highschool she decided to become a professional violinist and started her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover and finished her Teaching Diploma at the Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz in 2004 where she studied with Professor Christoph Schickedanz. In 2005 she relocated to New York City to study at Manhattan School of Music with Laurie Smukler. She received her Master of Music in violin performance in 2006. There she also took classes in jazz improvisation and composition. From 2008 until 2011 she went on a world tour with the fiddle show..
