CCS Taiko was founded in 2010 by Peter Hewitt after discovering Tanoshii Taiko at the Lostwithiel Summer Festival and being totally inspired. "I was so enthused by their performance that I immediately searched the Internet to find out more about Taiko and it occurred to me that this art form could work very well with both children and adults alike and, much more exciting, that it could hugely benefit children with special needs."... CCS Taiko is a Community Group and a Non-Profit Organisation. Established in 2010 we strive to integrate Special Needs Adults & Children and Typical Adults & Children together and bring the art of Japanese Taiko to the Community, for all to enjoy, whilst remaining absolutely fully-inclusive. CCS Taiko promotes the benefits of teaching Taiko to Special Needs Children and Adults, particularly Autism.
