Amy Jones

Amy Jones, Executive Director - Earned an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2003 and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education Administration in 2010. She joined Garrett County Community Action in 1999 and held several positions during the 20 years served at the agency from Early Head Start Teacher, Head Start Teacher, Home Visitor and Site Manager of Child and Family Development. Amy joined Garrett County Lighthouse July of 2020 as the Finance Manager and in March of 2023, Amy became the Executive Director.

Benjamin Bernard

Benjamin Bernard - Ben has worked for Garrett County Department of Social Services since 2013. He has held several position including Garrett Works Director, Child Support Specialist and his current position as Family Services Caseworker. Prior to 2013 Ben worked at Garrett County Community Action as the Family Self Sufficiency Manager, Maryland Department of Juvenile Services as a Resident Advisor and a two year Americorps Vista Volunteer.

Benjamin Jeffreys, Director of Health Care Quality - Ben joined GCLH in June 2020 as the Director of Health Care Quality. He has a Bachelors in Visual Communication & Graphic Design. Ben has 13 years of retail management experience and 11 years as a project manager with his father's property maintenance business. He worked for the Life Skills program as a rehabilitation associate. Ben also served in the U.S. Army in Ft. Bliss. TX

Carrie DiSimone

Carrie DiSimone, Secretary- Carrie has served as a member of Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc's Board of Directors since July 2019. Carrie serves as Director of Service Coordination at Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. she graduated from Frostburg State University in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She had the pleasure of being with GCCAC for 15 years, having come to the agency in 2004 as the lead case manager for the homeless programs. During the restructuring of the agency, she was asked to move to the Contract and Data Quality Manager position. Carrie loves data and it made her a great fit to take over as Director of her department in 2014 with the responsibility of overseeing all the housing programs as well as the energy assistance programs.

Charles Wilt

Charles Wilt, President- Charles Wilt is a lifelong resident of Garrett County, Maryland, and he serves as a Practice Operations Management Consultant at OCHIN, Inc., in Portland, Oregon. He assists member health centers through training and professional services to strengthen and improve access to care, operational excellence, and health outcomes for underserved patients across the U.S. Charles is an experienced community health center leader with a demonstrated history of working in the health information and nonprofit health care industry. He is skilled in Health Care Corporate Compliance, Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), Customer Service, Marketing, and Strategic Planning. Charles is a strong nonprofit business development professional with a master's degree focused in Health Administration and Leadership. He also attended George Washington University for a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Corporate Compliance and is currently working toward a doctorate in Health Administration at Capella University.

Cody Kroll

Cody Kroll, Director of Residential Rehabilitation and Crisis Services - Cody joined Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc. in August of 2022 as a Rehabilitation Coordinator - Crisis Services and was later promoted to Director of Residential Rehabilitation and Crisis Services. He has an Associates Degree from Allegany College in Criminal Justice and was certified both in Maryland and West Virginia as a police officer with over 16 years of experience. Cody serves as a Firefighter/EMT-B/Special Operator with the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department and has been serving as a firefighter since 2002.

Timothy Dunning

Timothy Dunning, Vice President- Timothy graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting. Thereafter, Timothy spent nearly five years as a Financial Analyst working for Textron Systems in the Aerospace and Defense Industry. While working as a Financial Analyst, Timothy earned my Master of Business Administration from Loyola University of Maryland. In the Fall of 2014, I pursued another ambition of mine which was to become a lawyer and started at the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, Timothy held various legal internships/clerkships including with the State's Attorney for Baltimore City, Office of the Public Defender for Baltimore City, and Maryland Court of Special Appeals. After graduating law school in the Spring of 2017, Timothy passed the Maryland Bar Exam and spent my first year as a Creditors' Rights Attorney. In April of 2019, Timothy joined the Law Firm of Noonan Willetts where Timothy extensively practice family law, criminal law, real estate law, and complex civil litigation. Garrett County and Deep Creek Lake has been a second home to me for the last ten years. Timothy had spent many weekends on the lake in the summer or the slopes in the winter. Timothy is now a full time resident of Garrett County and lives on the lake.
