James Krell opened K-O Auto in 1994. A South Carolina transplant, James moved to Montana early and grew up (was raised) in the Mission Valley. Growing up, his parents owned a gas station in Post Creek, where his love of cars began. After graduating from the St. Ignatius school district in 1980, James went to Helena Vo-Tech. James has been a technician for over 40 years. Thanks to James' leadership, K-O Auto won 3rd place in the 2019 AAA Top Shop competition; K-O Auto was recognized as the best out of 500 auto shops across seven states. If James isn't at K-O Auto, chances are you can find him officiating a basketball game, watching high school sports, or enjoying the beauty of Montana. A consummate outdoorsman, James enjoys hiking, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, riding motorbikes, and doing so all in his family's company.
