I've been an erotica author since 2011. Back then the whole indie publishing thing was really starting to take off, so I decided to try it just to see what would happen. Four years and sixty titles later I'm still here. It's been kind of a rocky road at times - there's nothing like waking up to find that half of your catalog has been blocked by a distributor, and I've had that happen more than I like to think about - but overall it's been a worthwhile experience... Emails from people who tell me that my work has affected them in some way are as big a vindication of what I'm doing as the checks I get from Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I've had people tell me that they've relived parts of their own lives through my stories, and even had one reviewer say that a story made her cry. That's pretty much the ultimate compliment you can pay to a writer. It's not too difficult to make someone smile, or even laugh a little. But to get someone so involved in your characters that they'll cry over..
