KT Blasting Specialists is owned by Ken Tully. Mr. Tully holds a B.Sc. majoring in Geology and has been working in the blasting industry for over 30 years. His career began in Nova Scotia, Canada, where he owned a blast design and vibration monitoring & consulting company. He founded and was president of the first Canadian Chapter of the International Society of explosives Engineers, has presented seminars on blast vibrations & air concussion for the Technical University of Nova Scotia, consulted on the drafting of the new SC blaster's exam, consulted on the drafting of Municipal blasting by-laws in NS, has presented to the Civil Engineers Society of Charleston SC on the advantages and applications of explosives for demolition projects, and has been featured in a documentary by the Discovery Channel and in the Journal of Explosives Engineers. He currently holds blaster licenses in 15 states and BC Canada.
