Becki Zvonek-Love

Becki Zvonek-Love is the owner and director of Kathy's School of Dance in Durand, MI. Miss Becki began her dance education in the very same studio she now owns. She has received numerous awards and scholarships for performance, choreography, and studio management. Miss Becki is a certified teacher member of the National Cecchetti Council of America. Miss Becki strives every day to provide the tools, training, and techniques for her students to become bigger, better, and stronger in dance and life. Miss Becki is also the Vice President of Flint City Pits - a foster-based dog rescue, where she coordinates and collaborates with organizations across Michigan working to find loving for homeless dogs.

Emily Telford

Emily Telford is a former student of Bohaty's School of Dance where she danced competitively for 14 years excelling nationally as a soloist. As a student she received scholarships to some of the country's top studios including Broadway Dance Center in New York City, The E.D.G.E Performing Arts Center and The Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles. Emily also received several distinguished performer and dancer of the year titles. She has a husband and two little girls, Grace and Clara. Emily has extensive training in all styles of dance including tap, jazz, gymnastics, Cecchetti ballet/point, lyrical/ contemporary, ballroom, Bollywood and adage. Emily started her career as a professional dancer at age 18, where she traveled around the world as a featured dancer for Royal Caribbean Productions and Barry Manilow's company Stiletto Entertainment. The past 10 years she has been a recreational and competitive dance teacher working with all ages. Emily joined the KSD team in 2015. She has received several teacher and choreography awards and is a national champion winning choreographer. Emily is also a certified teacher and member of the Cecchetti Council of America. Her love for dance continues not only in the classroom but also performing in numerous musicals for the Owosso Community Players at the Lebowski theater. She received the Most valuable award at Owosso Community Players in 2015. Emily is a great part of our KSD team!

Kelsee Gewirtz

Kelsee Gewirtz, better known as Miss Kelsee, grew up dancing competitively at KSD and developed a love for teaching at the age of 14. After high school, she continued to teach at Kathy's while pursuing a BA in Communication at Michigan State University. Miss Kelsee has a passion for teaching the young dancers. She is a three-time winning National Choreographer and loves to spend her weekends at competitions cheering on the students . Miss Kelsee is a prominent staple to our preschool program, which is her favorite class to teach. She is well diverse in different dance styles, including Clogging and Hip Hop. When Miss Kelsee is not at the studio or working, you can find her spending time with her Corgi, Clover and cat, Sebastian!

TJ Heck

TJ Heck has been dancing since the age of two. She had the privilege of learning to love dance from her mother, Ms. Sherry, a former KSD teacher. TJ has taught dance and choreographed musicals in various dance studios, high schools, and theaters all over the United States. TJ has been teaching at KSD since 2006 and enjoys nurturing a love of dance in her students through her passion for Tap, Clogging, Pre-school, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Outside of the studio, TJ works with national science education initiatives and is a board member of Flint City Pits Dog Rescue. TJ's children, Kai and Levi, are also active dancers at KSD.
