LORI MCCARTHY PIANO INSTRUCTION

Lori McCarthy maintains a piano studio in Chevy Chase, Maryland and teaches early childhood music in area preschools. She holds Bachelor of Arts in Music, Magna Cum Laude with General Honors and Master of Music in Piano Performance degrees from the University of Maryland. She is an MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher of Music and is a member of the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association. Lori is Immediate Past-President of the Washington Music Teachers Association, Past President of the Montgomery County Music Teachers Association, former Chair of the Music Theory Testing Program for the Maryland State Music Teachers Association, and is a member of Mensa. Past teaching experience includes elementary classroom teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Bethesda and serving as Director of Early Childhood Music at The Academy of Fine Arts in Gaithersburg. Lori has completed training in the Music Mind Games program and uses the curriculum and materials in group lessons.
