University Information Technology (UIT) is UND's technology support unit serving students, faculty and staff. We work with all agencies on campus to provide you with the technology tools for success both in and outside of the classroom... The Lotus Meditation Center was established on the UND campus as a sacred space of peace and quiet, offering yoga, meditation, tai chi, group retreats and support... In 1997, professor emerita of music, Tamar Read, donated funds for the construction of a center adjacent to the campus International Centre. The building had served as a place to support mindfulness in the Theravada Buddhist tradition; prayer of a variety of faiths; educational and cultural programming; and music concerts. With a new campus infrastructure plan starting in 2015, both the Meditation Center and subsequently the Memorial Union (serving as a temporary home) were removed.
