AMIRA MUSTAFA - Founder

Amira is the founder and director of Menara Analytics. She specializes in construction economics, private provision of infrastructure, macroeconomics and risk analysis of emerging and frontier markets. She has 25 years of experience gained within consulting, investment banking and academia in London. She provides growth consulting services to technology companies that provide software products and services for the construction industry. Amira spent 10 years in investment banking, where she worked in emerging markets economics, due diligence and risk management. She, subsequently, set up the due diligence unit at Macquarie Group. Prior to setting up Menara Analytics, Amira established a risk and due diligence consultancy that provided services to major investment banks in London. At the start of her consulting career, Amira worked with Albert S. Humphrey a leading American business and management expert who created various strategic management tools that are widely used in management applications. She was investigating the application of these tools in the construction industry in particular large infrastructure projects. Amira regularly publishes on public-private partnerships (PPP) in international journals. She is an author and expert peer reviewer of PPP articles for a major professional journal , and reviewer of papers on Global South debt for a political economy series. Amira is an invited speaker at international conferences. She designs and delivers workshops and training programs. Amira was awarded M.Sc. in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London, M.Sc. in Construction Economics and Management from University College London (UCL), and B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from City, University of London.

Awad is an international communications and marketing professional with extensive experience in delivering business to business communications and business to consumer engagement across the Middle East and Africa. Awad worked as Middle East and Africa head of communications for global trade enabler DP World - a Nasdaq 30 company. He developed and executed the engagement and communications structure and strategy for the company. Previously, he served as a strategic communications advisor to the Consulate of Japan's political and economic sections in the United Arab Emirates and advised the Somaliland Trade Office, Dubai, on media and communications engagements. Awad, previously held various senior positions at regional and international media houses, including Gannett Media, Shephard's News and was published in News Week, Arab News and the National. Dr. Abdel-Rahman Taha

Dr. Abdel-Rahman Taha is an international business and finance professional with extensive experience gained in international development banking, trade finance, credit and political risk insurance and business management. Dr. Abdel-Rahman was appointed in 2017 as an independent member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern and Southern Africa Trade and Development Bank (TDB). He served as General Manager of Islamic Development Bank Group, and later as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), which he helped establish and manage up to his retirement in October 2014. Previously, Dr. Abdel-Rahman held various senior positions at the Arab Trade Financing Program in Abu Dhabi and the Inter-Arab Investment Guarantee Corp. He started his career in the World Bank Headquarters in Washington D.C. where he served as a Senior Economist. Prior to that, he was a faculty member at the University of Khartoum, Sudan where lectured in business management. Dr. Abdel-Rahman was awarded Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles; an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley; and B.S. (Business Administration) University of California, Berkeley.

Onur is a civil engineer and infrastructure development specialist with 19 years experience in urban transportation, renewable energy and healthcare investments, and PPP models. He has extensive experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, transit operations, intelligent transportation systems and urban transportation feasibility studies. He previously worked with Parsons Brinckerhoff (WSP) in Washington, DC on urban transportation and infrastructure finance. Onur has extensive experience in project finance, project monitoring and reporting, contract and claim management, planning, budgeting, cost control, project valuation, and M&A of transportation, energy and healthcare investments. He worked for investors, EPC contractors, lender's technical advisors, and the World Bank in MENA region. Onur was involved in numerous privatizations of gas and electricity distribution companies and investment in renewable energy power generation projects including solar, wind, geothermal, biomass and hydropower. Also, he has experience in medical desing/planning, medical equipment, service design and procurement, and facility management for integrated healthcare projects. He currently focuses on developing PPP projects in emerging markets. He is experienced in business development, development of partnership and shareholder strategies, financial structuring, financing, risk analysis, operation and administration of the projects and active management of the companies in the investment portfolio in addition to PPP procurement and transaction advisory. Onur obtained M.Sc. in Engineering Management, Northeastern University, Boston (USA), M.Sc. in Transportation Engineering, Northeastern University, Boston, (USA), and B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from M.E.T.U., Ankara, Turkey.

Ralph Dando

Ralph Dando is Founding-Director at Insight International, a development management consultancy. He is also Director at the United Kingdom Healthcare Management Association (UKIHMA) and Capital Projects Director at Pioneer Healthcare. Ralph He has extensive experience in developing social infrastructure. He is an experienced development director with particular expertise in managing and directing developments and projects involving substantial co-ordination and complex input. His Engineering background combined with his excellent communication skills, provide him with a natural skill-set with which to lead multi-disciplinary teams to success.
