THE UNIVERSAL DOORS

We are a "contribute" band, that is to say, we try to contribute something to the vision of The Doors' and Jim Morrison's lyrics, both in poetry, songs and acoustic. We are more or a less a project… Once in a while we do play together, but because of my physical health we do not tour or play gigs. Hopefully someday we will play some gigs with poetry, music of The Doors', acoustic, and our own original material when my voice gets better. It may take some time, therefore we will be just a "project" in the meantime... This poem is inspired by The Doors' ‘The End'. What puzzles me the most is how freedom in the West is just a word, but not a bird. We in the West find flaws on each others, and think we are all perfect, never looking at ourselves. And that is the answer; when we understand ourselves, we understand others.
