TOASTMASTERS

Toastmasters is an international non-profit educational organization and world leader in communication and leadership development. Since 1924, Toastmasters has helped more than 4 million people become confident speakers and leaders, with its membership over 435,000 strong. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of 15,500 clubs in more than 140 countries that make up our global network... A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere. There are no instructors in our Toastmaster meetings. Instead, members evaluate one another's presentations in a peer-reviewed exercise concentrating on certain aspects of speaking such as writing, vocal variety, use of gestures, expression, and visual aids. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings, and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar, and parliamentary procedure.....
