Phil Loaring

Job Titles:
  • Director and Master Builder
Phil Loaring set up Loaring Development Ltd in March of 2011. Since then the business has grown from a small business to one that now employs 9 full time staff. Meet the team below. In March 2011, Phil Loaring decided it was time to leave his current employment and set up his own business and became Director of Loaring Development & Maintenance Ltd. Back then he had just a handful of staff and customers. Starting from those humble beginnings Phil has increased his staff numbers to 9 including office staff and builders. Loaring Development has completed many successful projects, has lots of satisified customers, and has earned itself a great local reputation. The company has grown throughout the years and gone from strength to strength. Loaring Development Ltd has a large portfolio of successful projects including new builds, conversions, refurbishments, insurance jobs and is continually growing, see the building project portfolio page for examples of Loaring Development's work. Phil tends to look over the private work mainly which is what he enjoys. He is keen to ensure all his workforce are trained correctly and have the adequate qualifications and certification; including first aid training, working at height, asbestos and health & safety training. Phil started off as a bricklayer once he left school, training on the job and through college for the first 5 years. After 5 years gaining experience and qualifications Phil changed his job role and joined a new company where he was Site Supervisor for 6 years, overseeing projects and ensuring health and safety standards were met by his workforce while on site. In his personal time Phil likes to follow his beloved Chelsea FC, and enjoys watching his son playing football and his daughter riding her pony.

Shane Scott

Job Titles:
  • Surveyor
Shane joined Loaring Development in 2015, once the company had started gaining large projects and being involved with insurance claims. Shane previously worked as a self-employed plasterer, so has much experience in the building trade. He is Phil's right hand man and works closely with Gemma throughout all the insurance claims. Shane's main role is being in charge of all our Insurance job claims, which means he goes out to policyholders addresses to assess the damage and validity of the claims that we have been assigned. He does a risk assessment while at the claim address so all our works are completed in line with our Health and Safety policies, whilst taking photos of any damage to pass to our insurance company. Shane builds a scope of works, including the cost on each job, which can be very technical. This enables insurance companies to get an idea of what the cost of the works will be for us to make everything right again for the policy holder. In his spare time Shane enjoys playing golf…. We don't actually know if he's any good…
