MY HOMESCHOOL - Key Persons
Amanda first met Michelle when they were in school, since then they have been great friends. She was even Michelle's bridesmaid.
Amanda started officially working with Michelle in 2011 as an editor. She then published her first educational resource through Homeschooling Downunder. She has since been the chief editor for Homeschooling Downunder and My Homeschool. She is the course creator of Work Out World.
Amanda also manages our communications and support and is usually your first port of call when you contact us.
With qualifications in education, English literature, marketing and publishing Amanda has worked in the area of education for over 30 years. Initially starting her career as a primary school teacher then moving into the corporate world where she was able to continue her passion for education in the areas of marketing, public relations and publishing.
She is delighted to be surrounded by such like-minded people who are not only great friends but who also value the importance of a well rounded literature rich education.
Amanda lives in Sydney with her two daughters and husband.

Beth is Michelle Morrow's oldest daughter. She was homeschooled all the way through to graduation. Starting university at 16 she completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Journalism and International Poverty. After working a few years at a not-for-profit charity based in England, she decided to return to university to study teaching. She now has a Masters in Primary Education and works part time as a schoolteacher.
She is big fan of Charlotte Mason and in the importance of providing a knowledge rich curriculum to students.
In 2023 she began working for My Homeschool helping with curriculum development and writing for our blog and newsletter.
Beth lives in Newcastle (Australia) with her English husband Ben.
Carol Hudson: Michelle met Carol through Charlotte Mason homeschool circles. Carol has home educated seven children and was introduced to the Charlotte Mason Method of Education when she read ‘For the Children's Sake' by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay in 1988. She knew immediately that this was how she wanted to educate her own children. Passionately sharing her knowledge with others through her writing and speaking engagements, Carol is an asset to the Australian homeschool community. Carol coordinated the My Homeschool weekly workshop program that helped introduce families to Charlotte Mason and homeschool life. She has also been a My Homeschool conference speaker, and guest blogger. She co-wrote, with Michelle, our Year 6 modern history resource History Makers. Carol blogs at Journey and Destination.
Ian Brown: Michelle met Ian when their daughters became friends. She asked him if he could write a revision resource for high school students that was based on the Australian Curriculum. It wasn't long after that that he produced Alboe - a little bit of everything - for our Grade/Year 7 & 8 students. Ian is an enthusiastic teacher and lover of Mathematics in a Christian school located on the sunny shores of Lake Macquarie, NSW. He has taught all levels of children from Kindergarten to Year 12 for almost 25 years, with a particular focus on Stages 4-6 (NSW Years 7 to 12). Ian has supported and advised teachers in their communication of Mathematics in the classroom, encouraging teachers to implement a variety of strategies to demystify, challenge and inspire students in Mathematics.

Jo and her husband Cliff have three children. Formally starting homeschooling in 2010, their children have always been homeschooled, with their eldest child commencing high school studies in 2018. Jo favours the Classical / Charlotte Mason method and has a thorough understanding of the different educational philosophies.
With qualifications in law, history, geography, English literature and cultural heritage, Jo has worked in public service and taught at university for twelve years, including online teaching. She is thrilled to share her skills and expertise with homeschoolers through My Homeschool.
Jo has written a vast amount of our course content and developed many new ideas for connecting with our My Homeschool families. She is constantly thinking of new ways to serve our My Homeschool Community.
Jo is a popular homeschooling conference speaker. She has been featured as a guest speaker on the In Cahoots podcast and is a contributing author to the Common Place Quarterly. Jo is also a member of the Home Schooling Consultative Group which serves to provide homeschooling input, advice and assistance to NESA as well as reviewing homeschooling policies and procedures in New South Wales.
Jo is the content creator for Kindergarten, Year One, Year 9 and Year 10.
Margaret Taylor: Michelle and Margaret have been friends since before they had children. She introduced Michelle to homeschooling and they began writing and publishing together when Michelle first started selling online resources for Australian homeschoolers. She has written resources for My Homeschool in the subject area of English, science and civics. Margaret homeschooled her three boys through to university.

Michelle Morrow lives in sunny Lake Macquarie, NSW. She began homeschooling in 2001, the same year her fourth child was born.
Before kids Michelle worked as a registered nurse, midwife, and nurse educator.
Michelle and her husband became interested in home education after having children. There was a lot to learn (and no internet) but they realised the benefits for their children. Three years into their homeschool journey they began using an Charlotte Mason Method but she's never described herself as a Charlotte Mason purist.
Her two oldest went to school for a short stint, but her two youngest did not.
All her children started university at 16 without an HSC or ATAR. One is a doctor. Another has a degree and has worked in NGOs in communications; she now works for My Homeschool. Another is a digital artist for Fox Studios in Sydney. Her youngest owns two small businesses and is completing her business degree.
Michelle has been helping Australian homeschoolers since 2006 through her blog Homeschooling Downunder. Many of her posts are still found here on our blog.
She has appeared on podcasts, radio, newspapers and TV, and is a homeschool conference speaker.

Sarah is Michelle Morrow's youngest daughter, and one of the test cases for My Homeschool. Many lessons and resources were created while home schooling her and she has even helped to make some of the resources we have today. She never went to school and was home educated using the Charlotte Mason Method. At 16 she went to university.
Sarah brings a fresh perspective to the My Homeschool team. With a Bachelors in Business, she manages our online media presence, contributes to our content and event planning. Sarah also runs two businesses of her own.
Sarah has already travelled to numerous places across the globe, she lives in Newcastle with her husband Tom.
