Debra Eley

Debra Eley has a BA Hons from London University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Human Resources Management. Having spent her earlier career working in London, Debra specialised in recruitment for eight years, with a large IT recruitment company, she then broadened her experience by moving into more generalist HR roles predominantly in the IT and telecoms industries, prior to moving to New Zealand. Having brought up two children, now at University, Debra worked locally for an IT software consultancy, providing HR and Recruitment support on a part-time basis, prior to joining the Savvy HR team in 2018. Debra has worked with a wide variety of businesses and her and her husband built and sold their own successful business so understand first hand the challenges that employers face when it comes to employment and management of staff. Whilst she enjoys most aspects of HR, Debra remains passionate and enthusiastic about recruitment, understanding that recruiting the right people into the right culture and the right role is a real key to organisational success.

Kym has a unique talent in quickly cutting through the clutter to get to the heart of the issue at hand and developing the most effective solution - a true problem solver. Kym is a people person as you would expect and enjoys meeting and interacting with people from all walks of life. Kym's satisfaction and drive comes from working with great clients who want to get the best out of their team and easing the stress that can come from managing people. With a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and HR Management and an Honours degree in Organisational Psychology, Kym is deeply committed to providing clients with the kind of results that positively impact their team and bottom line while providing exceptional service along the way. Having consulted for almost all of her career to a very wide range of businesses and industry's, small and large and with over 20 years HR experience, there's not much she hasn't seen. Kym's clients, colleagues and friends have described her as passionate, committed, hardworking, likable, a perfectionist and of course savvy. Having lived in the Bay of Plenty for 15 years Kym has worked with many businesses so she understands the local market, the challenges businesses face and future issues of the region.
