Donna Rex

Donna Rex has extensive experience in executive management in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors - in commercial and private banking, the sporting goods industry and nonprofit development management and consulting. Since a young age, Donna volunteered her time, following in the footsteps of her mother and father. She offers the unique perspective of having sat on all sides of the table - as a volunteer, a staff member, a board member, a donor, and both client and consultant. She has served the nonprofit sector in public television and radio, animal welfare and child welfare in the areas of membership development, donor and fund development and executive management. She has worked as a consultant to the nonprofit sector since 2000. Donna is a graduate of Florida State University. She conducts seminars and workshops on all facets of fund development, marketing and communications, board development, and strategic and fund development planning. She has taught grants research, proposal writing and grants program management; board and donor development ; direct marketing, database management and donor stewardship; budgeting and planning and marketing practices for adoptable animals. She lives in the Jacksonville, Florida area with her husband John and their three "kids" - their wild-haired fox terrors Houdini, Beaner and Charlie, all adopted from animal shelters.
