Chen Yao Hui

Mr Chen began his tenure with Meinhardt in late 1994, demonstrating a strong trajectory of growth and leadership. By 2010, he had risen to become the Director of the Thailand office. As the head of the EPCM team, he serves as a crucial liaison for several blue-chip multinational corporations, including Nestle, Amazon, PepsiCo, Kellogg's, McCormick, P&G, Continental, Beiersdorf, and beyond. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role as a member of the Group EPCM Steering Committee. Prior to his career at Meinhardt, Mr Chen honed his skills over a period of three years at one of China's most prominent LDIs, and another three years at an International Developer. During this time, he was instrumental in executing two large-scale EPC turn-key projects in Bangkok and Spokane, USA.

Dr Shahzad Nasim, Group Executive Chairman of Meinhardt Group was one of the keynote speakers at the Inaugural Session of the summit and he shared some of Singapore's and Meinhardt's insights that could be useful for Nepal's own infrastructural development; he also and voiced Meinhardt's commitment towards a ‘Prosperous Nepal'. Dr Nasim, a professional engineer by training, is regularly invited to speak at local and regional conferences and has numerous papers to his credit. He is actively involved in educational, professional and statutory boards related to the construction industry. Dr. Nasim helms the Meinhardt Group as Executive Chairman and is its major shareholder, with oversight of Meinhardt's strategic direction, business expansion, key clients and major projects. He has been instrumental in leading the rapid growth of the Meinhardt Group, which is ranked by Engineering News-Record (a list of who's who in the engineering and construction world) as one of the largest independent engineering consultancy firms globally.

An accomplished veteran who is well reputed in the built environment industry, Eugene has garnered a wealth of experience and expertise which he brings to bear on the senior leadership roles that he holds within Meinhardt. In his capacity as Senior Director, GCEO Office, he works closely with the Group CEO of Meinhardt Group, Mr Omar Shahzad, to spearhead a number of new initiatives and business lines. Eugene has also taken on a newly carved out role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Meinhardt Singapore operations - Singapore is a key node within the Meinhardt Group given that the Group is globally owned and headquartered there. At the same time, Eugene is a part of the global management board that is responsible for overseeing the Group-wide business and setting the business direction. Eugene has vast leadership and technical experience in the built environment industry and has taken on various local and international leadership roles throughout his career. Eugene joined Meinhardt from Surbana Jurong Group where he was a Managing Director and helmed a variety of senior roles including Senior Director, Group CEO's office, in charge of the Group's special projects and strategic initiatives, namely, the Key Account Management Office, Digital Management Office, and Sustainability and Resilience Office. He was also a Director on the Boards of Threesixty Cost Management and Threesixty Contract Advisory, and an Adjudicator in the Singapore Mediation Centre. Prior to joining Surbana Jurong, Eugene was the Managing Director and City Executive for Arcadis Singapore from 2012 to 2017. He started his career in 1999 at the renowned Davis Langdon & Seah where he worked in a variety of different roles before becoming Partner of the firm in 2008. As Partner, he was responsible for the firm's businesses in Singapore, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia and India before the firm was merged with Arcadis in 2012. Besides having extensive experience in Quantity Surveying, Eugene is a Green Mark Accredited Professional and Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional. He injects sustainability, value management and green approaches into his work to achieve project efficiency. He is an ardent advocate for the deployment of digital advancements and technology. He is also adept at enhancing productivity in Design and Construction, and leading research on Computational BIM, Visualisation and Imaging. His efforts have won him several notable awards and accolades including the RICS Construction Professional of the Year (2019), the Advance Certificate in Learning Program from the Institute of Adult Learning as well as the qualification on the ISO 19650 for BIM and Collaboration. Eugene graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (1st Class Hons) from the University of Reading in 1999 and a BSc in Technology Management and Computing (1st Class Hons) from the University of Portsmouth in 2002. He also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Construction Law and Arbitration from the joint NUS and Kings College London programme, an MSc in Sustainable Building Design from the University of Nottingham, and the Senior Management Development Program from Harvard Business School. Eugene is an integral part of the Meinhardt team as we continue to strive for digital transformation and provide innovative, smart, resilient and sustainable solutions to all our clients.

Geok Hwee's impressive career at Meinhardt began in 2011 when she joined the company as a Group Finance Manager. Through her hard work and dedication, Geok Hwee has risen to the position of Head of the Group Finance team, where she collaborates closely with the global management board to oversee and monitor the financial performance of Meinhardt Group and its subsidiaries. With over 50 offices worldwide, Geok Hwee is responsible for the financial consolidation process and provides guidance on accounting and tax matters to the various subsidiaries. Her expertise in finance and accounting stems from her educational background, which includes a Degree of Bachelor of Accountancy (2nd Class Hons) from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, and her role as a Chartered Accountant of Singapore, member of Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. Geok Hwee began her career as an audit associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Singapore ("PwC") in 1999. During her 12-year tenure with PwC, Geok Hwee handled a diverse range of clients and assignments, including bond offerings and initial public offerings. In 2008, she completed a two-year secondment to Bangkok as a team member of Centre of Excellence, where she provided audit methodology and training support to PwC firms across the Asia Pacific region.

Janos has over 30 years of career experience in technical development, team management, business leadership and project delivery within the broader engineering industry. With degrees in engineering, economics and management, Janos has been involved in a variety of high-value developments across Australia, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific. Janos is in charge of identifying major project opportunities globally, the emerging trends in project procurement & delivery and developing strategies across the worldwide offices to build the organization's capabilities to meet these challenges including the formulation of strategic partnerships, joint ventures and other forms of collaborative co-operations. His focus is on a large scale and complex developments in challenging technical, legal and commercial environments across major key sectors including major urban infrastructure master planning, Smart City developments, air and land transport infrastructure such as airports, metros, rail, and complex, technologically advanced building projects. in 2021 Janos was appointed as CEO to Australia and New Zealand to further strengthen and expand the Group's operation in the region. John McGuire

John is the Chief Executive Office for the Meinhardt Australia and New Zealand business, responsible for the performance, operations and strategic direction of the business. He has enjoyed a formidable career over the past thirty-five years having vast leadership experience in ANZ and global roles. With an early career in the field of sustainable building design and healthcare facility design, John was fortunate to lead many notable projects across the region, including The Playhouse at the Queensland Cultural Centre, Brisbane; Fiona Stanley Hospital, Perth, and Al Bustan Abu Dhabi. He has held leadership positions in Brisbane, Western Australia, Victoria and South Australia with global engineering consultancy AECOM, and was also the global Managing Director Built Environment for Aurecon, a role spanning 17 offices and encompassing 2,000 staff. He has gained expertise and recognition in the field of strategy and innovation, resulting in his appointment as Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Design Officer at Aurecon, and also DRA Global. John graduated with a first-class honour's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Limerick in Ireland, followed by post graduate qualifications in business law from Curtin University. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia, and has held multiple advisory positions to organisations such as the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Melbourne and the Australian Design Council. He is a regular speaker at international conferences and is a periodic lecturer in sustainable design at the University of Western Australia and Curtin University. Reuben Chu

Reuben has over 36 years of experience in managing and engineering large-scale building and infrastructure developments and has been involved in many substantial projects in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China and the United Kingdom. He is in charge of all structural, infrastructural and environmental business for our China offices and has set up the Group's Advanced Technology R&D arm. He is also an adjunct professor for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Civil Engineering. Reuben had been the President of Hong Kong Institution of Highways and Transportation, President of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Chairman of Hong Kong Association of Consulting Engineers, Chairman of Professional Green Building Council, Council Member of UK Institution of Structural Engineers and Chairman of UK Institution of Highways and Transportation (HK Branch).
