The mission of the Department of Health Sciences is to prepare students to assume leadership roles in the health care industry in their respective disciplines, with the ultimate goal of improving health outcomes of individuals, institutions, and communities. This mission is accomplished by providing students in health science programs with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes which result in the development of an appreciation for a culture of safety, high quality care, continuous improvement, and ethical practice across a variety of health science roles and health care settings.
