Driven by his lifelong love for the arts and for connecting with people from every background, Cornelius Carter brings a deep and incredibly robust diversity of experience to his role as member of the board. His professional experience has been in IT security and compliance. He is also a professional artist painting traditional works of art, and his tango paintings can be seen at Esquina Tango and in private collections across the globe. His love of music brought him into the Tango world and is grateful to continue his artistic passion nurtured by Austin Tango Society commitment to the Austin Tango Community.

David has been an entrepreneur and investor in the high-tech area for many years. He was founder and CEO for 12 years of a publicly-held computer software firm with offices around the world, served as a General Partner in a venture capital investment firm for 15 years, and has served on the board of directors of a variety of public and privately-held companies. He has been an avid Argentine Tango dancer for about 8 years.
