Barry Crane

Barry graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy. He completed a research project deemed suitable for publication and presented these findings at international rowing conferences. His working life began in Glasgow where he treated a variety of musculoskeletal pathologies in patients ranging from the elderly to young children in NHS Health Centres. At the same time he maintained a sporting interest with assessment, diagnosis and treatment of elite athletes such as senior and junior international rowers based at the National Rowing Academy Strathclyde Park, Glasgow Rugby junior, senior and international players, elite distance runners and triathletes. Since relocating to London he has continued to treat a wide variety of patients from top level athletes including Premiership footballers and Olympic level competitors to individuals from all age ranges and walks of life. Through his work at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, he has been named Allied Health Professional of the Year. Barry, an avid sportsman himself, has completed numerous marathons in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Also a keen triathlete, the renowned Escape from Alcatraz triathlon is his most memorable competition to date. Barry has also recently completed a Channel Relay Swim.

Siobhan Burnett

Siobhan completed her Masters in Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2013 having graduated from Brunel University in 2002. She has worked both in the NHS and private practice since. She works alongside Orthopaedic Consultants in the NHS at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, specifically only treating knee conditions. Siobhan is passionate about the rehabilitation of sports injuries. She has a special interest in lower limb rehabilitation and Return to Sport and Activity testing following lower limb injury or surgery; especially following Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction. She is keen on sports specific strength and conditioning and firmly believes in treating to prevent injuries rather than stopping at the short-term fix! In addition, she is certified in Blood Flow Restriction Rehabilitation. Siobhan however, enjoys and has experience working with all musculoskeletal dysfunctions including long-term (chronic) joint problems and pain, as well as work-related injuries. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, running and circuit training when she is not running around after her 2 girls at home!
