Andrew Tasset

Andrew is a lifelong Catholic and a parishioner at SEAS Catholic Church in Springfield. He's always believed that helping to lift up others in our community is not only rewarding and the right thing to do, but also our duty to our faith. Professionally, he has 25+ years of marketing and advertising experience and is the V.P. of Marketing at Central Bank of the Ozarks & Central Trust Company.

Anitra Appleby

Job Titles:
  • Secretary of the Board of Directors
Anitra is a member and the 1st Lady of Sanctuary of Praise COGIC, located in Springfield, Missouri, where her husband is the Pastor. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Evangel University. She is passionate about CCO because she believes the organization is fulfilling scripture that states we should love our neighbors as ourselves, regardless of who our neighbor may be.

Bill Hennessey

Bill is passionate about the work of the Council of Churches and is pleased to be a part of its efforts to inspire hope and collaboration while addressing the needs of the most vulnerable. Bill has served in several roles at Mercy Health. Five years ago he became the Vice President of Mission for Springfield. Bill is an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic in Ozark, Missouri.

Bob Perry

Bob is a retired minister He has consulted with churches and nonprofits throughout the country and is the author of seven books. Bob says, "I see my involvement with the Council of Churches as a natural and fulfilling aspect of my desire to live out the teachings of Jesus. When Jesus asked us to care for "the least of these," he was describing the compassionate and loving work of the Council."

Britton Jobe

Job Titles:

Britton has been on the Board since 2017. He also serves on the Crosslines Advisory Committee. He is an attorney at Neale & Newman LLP. Britton is an active community volunteer and an avid Missouri State Bears fan.

Callie Carrol

Job Titles:
  • VP of Business Development and Shareholder Relations at Old Missouri Bank
Callie is the VP of Business Development and Shareholder Relations at Old Missouri Bank. She looks forward to using her skills as a CCO board member to help vulnerable people in our community. Callie is also active in Springfield Rotaract and serves on the Champions Committed to Kids Board and the Ozarks Regional YMCA Board.

Cora Scott

Job Titles:
  • Director of Public Information & Civic Engagement for the City of Springfield
Cora is the Director of Public Information & Civic Engagement for the City of Springfield. She serves as the chief communicator for all City operations, overseeing crisis communication responses and also designing, developing, and implementing civic engagement strategies and programs to increase citizen participation with, and ultimately trust in, City government.

Fr. David Kendrick

Job Titles:
  • Rector of St. John 's Episcopal Church
David has been the Rector of St. John's Episcopal Church since July, 2013. This is his second term on the Board. David believes that the mission of the Church is to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ Jesus. He states that no other Christian organization in the Ozarks pursues and accomplishes as much of that comprehensive mission as the Council of Churches of the Ozarks.

Jaimie Trussell - CEO

Jaimie Trussell is a veteran fundraiser and communications professional. Well-known for her ability to align resources to meet emerging needs, she is a fervent advocate for compassion ministry, having served in key leadership roles for international non-profits such as Convoy of Hope and Adult & Teen Challenge. With over 15 years of experience and tens of millions of dollars raised, Jaimie earned the prestigious credential "Certified Fundraising Executive" from the international Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2019. A Springfield native, Jaimie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Missouri State University and holds a Master's degree in Communications. Jaimie is active in her church, with the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary. Due in part to her "connector" personality type, Jaimie was named among Springfield Business Journal's Most Influential Women in 2019, and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Springfield/Branson Regional Airport.

Jay Guffey

Jay recently retired as the CEO of Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield, after working in Health Care for over 44 years. He is currently a consultant for his own company. Jay has volunteered in the Crosslines ministry since the mid-1980s. Over the years, he has been an advocate for low-income residents in Springfield, as well as serving in mission work in Haiti and Nicaragua. Jay believes we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ and fulfill our role by our service to those in need.

Jim Anderson

Jim is retired, after serving as president and CEO of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce for 26 1/2 years and, most recently, vice president, marketing and public affairs, at CoxHealth. He attends First and Calvary Presbyterian Church. He has previously served on the CCO Board and on the Board of the CCO Foundation. He states that he absolutely believes in the mission, work, and ministry of the Council of Churches of the Ozarks and looks forward to serving again.

Joe Costello

Joe is a commercial real estate broker. In addition to serving on the Board, he volunteers for Safe to Sleep and is involved with several other organizations in the community. Joe attends Pathways United Methodist Church.

Keith Noble

Job Titles:
  • Treasurer of the Board of Directors
Keith has been very active in local nonprofits and organizations throughout the years, including The Rotary Club of Springfield, The Salvation Army, Great Circle, and the Discovery Center. He states that he is on the Board of the Council of Churches to help share the love of Jesus to those most in need. Keith has more than 40 years of banking experience in the Springfield area and is currently President of Commerce Bank of Springfield.

Linda Merkling

  • Manager of Prosource Wholesale
Linda is the manager of Prosource Wholesale and has extensive background in marketing and management. She is passionate about the ministry of serving God through encouragement, positivity and the power of prayer and loves the work CCO does locally. Linda attends Aldersgate Methodist in Nixa, Mo.

Tyler Padgitt

Tyler and his wife Renee pastor The Courageous Church. He leads the church with one mission in mind: to reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus and lead them to know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference. Tyler is passionate about CCO because he is passionate about this community.
