Since 1979, I have been designing and building Sheet Music Cabinets, custom wood furniture, and specialized cabinetry for residential and contract customers. The scope of my work consists of custom, one-of-a-kind pieces that at times are influenced by the fine antiques I am privileged to restore to their original condition. My custom work ranges from the elegantly understated to somewhat bold, including using highly figured woods in very clean designs. An example is this Walnut Burl Sheet Music Cabinet . In addition, I sometimes combine two mixable woods such as maple and mahogany in the same piece. This allows both woods to draw something from the other in ways that are quite nice. Note the Cherry Sheet Music Cabinet above. Maple drawer sides with black leather bottoms contrast very nicely with the cherry exterior.
