At age 10, Halifax Citrus Fundraising founder Seamus Burne joined the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club. That same year, Burne's mother Joanne, accepted the role of fundraising coordinator for the team, assuming the responsibilities from a parent, whose swimmer had moved on to university.
