I developed my Insomnia Insight™ approach to assessing and improving sleep quality and quantity due to the enormous need for improved sleep in my own patients. Initially, I used neurotransmitter and hormone testing alone to support my patients. As the years passed, technology progressed and has now provided a FDA approved in-home sleep study device, the M1 by Sleep Image. When coupled these two tests provide comprehensive data on sleep quality, sleep quantity and the patients individual neurochemistry including excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitters, the stress hormone cortisol and the sleep hormone melatonin. This information provides the roadmap for each individual to improve their own biochemistry allowing the potential for better sleep using natural supplements to optimize nervous system function.
