KAYE

Kaye's Academy is set in a semi-rural village between Huddersfield, Wakefield and Barnsley. The school was built in 1862 and was doubled in size in 1981. We have 195 children in school, from Nursery to Year 5, and 32 staff. We pride ourselves on being an open and friendly school and work hard to ensure we meet our aims... Kaye's is a friendly village school in Clayton West which is situated on the West/South Yorkshire border with the towns of Huddersfield, Barnsley and the city of Wakefield within easy access. A former mining village with textile mills and a railway, Clayton West is steeped in history... At Kaye's, our curriculum is planned around our children's interests. As an enthusiastic and dedicated staff team, we are immensely proud that our children love coming to school, engage in their learning, behave well, and demonstrate high levels of respect and tolerance of others.
