Dr. Jason Henderson

Dr. Jason Henderson received his doctorate at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where he graduated first in his class in Clinical Curriculum. He then moved to southern Oregon to complete a 1-year residency prior to going into private practice. Dr. Henderson is a native of California, growing up in the Bay Area. He attended Santa Clara University, with an undergraduate major in Biology with a Pre-Dental emphasis, and he also received a minor in Environmental Studies. Locally, he is becoming familiar with our thriving community and is loving every minute of it! To date Dr. Henderson is a supporter for Girls on the Run Sierras, Incline Village High School Sports, Tahoe Lake Elementary, North Tahoe Middle School, and North Lake Tahoe Boys and Girls club just to name a few! In his spare time Dr. Henderson is an avid outdoors enthusiast! He is a fisherman, an ultra-runner, snowshoer, and hiker. He also enjoys playing many sports with his kids including field hockey, basketball, lacrosse, softball, tennis, golf and swimming. His lovely wife Denise Henderson DDS is also a G.P. and together they have two beautiful daughters, Ashely, age 11, and Melanie, age 9. They love to do everything together as a family.

Dr. Stephen Shimp

Dr. Stephen Shimp received his DDS at University of Pacific Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry. He then served in the US Navy as a military dentist prior to going into private practice. He and his family were stationed first in Rhode Island, then Virginia Beach, and finally in Okinawa, Japan. He is excited to be back in the Tahoe area, where he often came to ski, mountain bike, and hike during his years at UoP. Dr. Shimp is passionate about continuously learning and had many opportunities to shadow and receive training from specialists while in the military. Thanks to that experience, he is able to provide comprehensive care, truly making Kings Beach Dental a one-stop shop. He particularly enjoys root canals, implants, wisdom tooth extractions, and cosmetic dentistry.
