Throughout his career of more than 25 years, Brad has held various technical leadership roles in marketing, new product development, applications engineering, equipment design, and intellectual property. His broad experience stems from working at several leading technology companies, including General Electric, W. L. Gore & Associates, and most recently GrafTech International, before recently joining the Q-Lab team.
He holds over 30 US patents and has authored many papers in the field of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and thermal management.
In 2015, Brad was elected as Chairman of ASTM's Subcommittee D01.27. This group focuses on accelerated testing for paints and coatings.
Brad graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and cum laude with a master's degree in technical management, both from the University of Pennsylvania.

Douglas Grossman is CEO of Q-Lab Corporation, a global manufacturer of weathering testers, corrosion testers, and standard test panels for paints. He has over 38 years of experience in the design and development of durability test chambers, including the design of UV lamps, UV measuring systems, and cyclic salt fog chambers.
Mr. Grossman holds a number of U.S. and international patents in the field of accelerated weathering. He has been involved in international standards for weathering tests since 1978. He is the Chairman of ASTM subcommittee D01.27 on Accelerated Tests for Paint and is the U.S. representative to ISO committee TC35 SC9 WG 31 on Performance Tests for Paints.

Dr. Andy Francis is Marketing Director at Q-Lab Corporation in Cleveland, ohio, USA. Andy joined Q-Lab in 2015 and focuses on new product development across all of Q-Lab's product lines as well as external communication with Q-Lab's representatives, customers, and the scientific community.
Andy has over 10 years of experience in R&D for new products and applications in diverse fields. Prior to joining Q-Lab, Andy worked for General Electric and as a Senior Research Scientist at GrafTech International. Andy received both his BS and Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Gary Simecek is Executive Vice President, Manufacturing at Q-Lab and is responsible for all product manufacturing at Q-Lab's Corporate Headquarters in Westlake, Ohio. In addition, he oversees service & repair of weathering testers worldwide.
Gary's entire career has been involved in design, quality and production of scientific instruments: products such as weathering and corrosion chambers, data recorders and transducers. He also has 25 years of experience in the field of standard metal panel substrates, and has developed several proprietary manufacturing processes and quality control methods for the production of Q-Lab's Q-PANEL standard substrates.
Gary started with Q-Lab in 1985 as a Manufacturing Engineer, and became VP of Operations in 1997. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Miami University.
A young pilot in the US Air Corps returned to civilian life after serving his country. His name was George Grossman, and he began a new career selling supplies and equipment to paint labs in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Wherever he went, George made it a practice to ask his customers, "What do you need that you can't get from your current suppliers?" Many customers told George that they needed a consistent, reproducible test surface. They wanted to make sure that if a coating failed during testing, it was because of a bad paint and not because of a contaminated substrate.
George founded Q-Panel Lab Products in 1956 to fulfill this industry need. When designing the first test panels, George was looking for a way to place a logo on his product that would not be obscured when the lab technicians sprayed the panels with paint. He decided that a "Q" shaped hole would do the trick. Plus, it would represent the quality and quick delivery that George wanted for his panels.
