Self Help was formed in 1974 by a group of homeless people in response to the number of unused properties that remained empty even as the local homelessness crisis was worsening. As we approach our 50th year we remain a specialist provider of services for people experiencing homelessness and have developed a reputation for going the extra mile in the commitment and support we provide to our service users... Operating in the Bristol area, we are a small independent housing association providing specialist services for people experiencing homelessness. As a small provider, we are able to maintain strong links with our service users tailored to individual needs. We were established in 1974 and house over 100 people each year... Self Help Community Housing Association provides temporary supported housing to meet acute housing need and prevent any subsequent return to rough sleeping. We provide specialist one to one support and liaise with other agencies around specialist needs.
