Alan Oxborough

Alan has been with Reynolds since 2011 and as Operations Manager his role includes business management, management of the operational training team, and the development of technical provision as well as being a lead consultant trainer. Alan has decades of experience in both the UK and internationally in engineering and operations roles in the chemical process, petrochemical (onshore and offshore), power generation and defence sectors. He has also delivered learning as a learning and development consultant and university lecturer. Alan brings this extensive, and highly relevant, experience to his role at Reynolds where he enjoys working closely with clients to exceed their expectations and facilitating the ‘real life' plant facilities available to our learners. Andrew Reynolds

Andrew has been with the Reynolds team since 2020. He is responsible for looking after the day-to-day operation within the office and training centre. He is also our go-to person ensuring our Environmental and Quality Management systems are in place, audited and maintained. In his role, Andrew gets to work alongside the whole team from consultants and trainers, to our suppliers and partners. Andrew is a keen outdoors person, loving travel, hiking, running and cycling. John Mawer

With almost four decades of valuable experience in the pharmaceuticals sector, John Mawer brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to his role at Reynolds Training. He is enjoying working with the Apprentices, offering them inspiration and mentorship while, at the same time, improving his own training techniques. After almost 40 years in the pharmaceuticals sector, John brings a wealth of wisdom to his role at Reynolds Training.

John Reynolds - Founder, Managing Director

John has over 40 years of experience in bulk liquid warehousing, process operations, and logistics. During his long career, he served for ten years in the Royal Corps of Transport, responsible for fuel management. It was during his time in the armed forces he discovered his passion for training. Leaving the forces, he continued his career in the sector, working within the full range of bulk liquid operations, including the training and management of upper-tier COMAH sites. In 2009, he launched Reynolds Training Services, who have become the ‘go to' people for health and safety with the bulk storage sector, working with clients including Vopak, BP, World Fuel Services and Inter Terminals. John is also a regular speaker on the conference circuit where he shares his passion for developing aspirational career pathways to bring in new blood to the sector. John is also a founding partner of the National Centre for Process Manufacturing (NCPM), state-of-the-art facilities that bring real-world experience to Reynolds' safety and technical training provision. John is also a founder of CALMcloud, an online competence management system designed for the High Hazard sector. The driving force behind Reynolds and a leading figure in the Bulk Storage sector. Enigmatic entrepreneur, John Reynolds, is the man behind our brand. After leaving the military 30 years ago, John moved into the high hazard industries and that's when his passion for safety truly took hold. For the past two decades, John and his fantastic team have built Reynolds Training into one of the most sought after training providers in the world.

Karon Reynolds

Reynolds Training Services head of administration, Karon Reynolds, stands centre-stage of the cast. Charged with administration, client communications, course bookings, PR and accounts, Karon keeps the Reynolds Training Services machine well oiled on a day-to-day basis. Karon keeps the Reynolds machine running and manages the bookings for our courses.

Keith Alibone

My duties include assessing learners to ensure their competencies are kept up to date. Also completing IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) on learners portfolios when qualifications have been completed. I have 7 years' experience in doing this. Before my time at Reynolds, I spent 20 years working for BP and have Level 3 Assessor and Level 4 IQA qualifications. What I love most about my job is ensuring learner portfolios are completed to the current standard and, thankfully, I only need to work part-time. Assessing learners to ensure competencies are kept up to date and standards of Internal Quality are maintained.

Mollie King

Mollie joined Reynolds as Adminstrator in 2021 where she works closely with Andrew and Karon, supporting the running of the courses and administration of the centre. Mollie loves working in such a busy environment and ensuring the learners have a great experience. In her downtime she enjoys walking and socialising with friends. Rob Balderson is a Technical Trainer and Assessor involved in instructing Operator Apprentices and delivering various safety courses to industry. He brings a vast range of experience to play, including twenty years working for Total Lindsey Oil Refinery as an operator and Fire and Safety officer. Seven years working in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia as a Trainer and Assessor as well as Technical Writer.
