Native Architects is a Yorkshire based architects' practice specialising in delivering individually designed, low environmental cost sustainable buildings. We work all over Northern England because it's the place we know and love best but our work and specialist knowledge has spread from Sicily to the Outer Hebrides... The idea for Native Architects was formed when Sally was working for the University of York at King's Manor in the mid-1990s, completing commissioned research for the then BRE, the world's leading building science centre based in Watford and the UK's largest charity dedicated specifically to research and education in the built environment... Native Architects are a York based chartered practice established in 1995. Native Architects is an award winning firm, known for both our modern, sustainable architecture with cutting edge materials like hempcrete and expertise working with historic buildings and traditional materials techniques.
