James Bowers

James started at Morrish in August in 2017 obtaining work experience for a morning each week alongside his studies at West Suffolk College. He joined the team in June 2018 as an apprentice technician working with more senior engineers and producing CAD drawings. James has recently completed his engineering diploma at West Suffolk College and is now studying a part time BEng (Hons) degree at the University of East London. On weekends James stewards at local motocross events, and much to the dislike of his mother he's saving up for a dirtbike.

Jonathan Parker

Qualifications: BEng (with First Class Hons) Jonathan has nearly 40 years experience in structural consultancy across a wide range of sectors such as: Education, Commercial, Residential and Public Sector including Design and Build projects with major contractors. He became company managing director in January 2010. As well as having overall responsibility as managing director, Jonathan is a "hands on" principal projects engineer responsible for structural design in all forms of construction such as structural steelwork, reinforced concrete and load bearing masonry and additionally specialises in timber frame design. Jonathan also has considerable experience in the design of all forms of temporary works, from complex propping and facade retention schemes to working platforms and crane stability designs. Qualifications: BSc (Hons) MSc Nathan, since starting at Morrish in July 2005, has gained structural engineering experience in the construction industry working on commercial and residential new builds, conversions, refurbishments & extensions and also industrial buildings. Nathan is usually the first port of call for all new enquiries; and he is also responsible for Quality Assurance within the company to ensure a consistent and very high standard of work. He is an active STEM Ambassador, working with local schools and colleges promoting the structural engineering career. Nathan is on the Institution of Civil Engineers Suffolk Branch committee upon which he is the School Liaison Officer. Graduated from University of East London with a Distinction in MSc in Structural Engineering in 2019, where he also won a national concrete student design competition, organised by the Concrete Centre. Nathan had to hang up his football boots due to a reoccuring knee problem, but when he is not in the office he likes to spend as much time with his Fiance and there dogs, as well as following ITFC through the deeps of League 1!

Robert Price

Job Titles:

Qualifications: CEng MIStructE Robert has over 50 years' experience as a consulting engineer across all sectors of the construction industry including commercial, residential, education, health and is responsible for structural design and advice including listed and historic buildings, refurbishments, conversions, basement design and in addition specialises in scaffold design and temporary works. Robert also acts as an expert witness on structural matters including subsidence. Robert has numerous long standing relationships with local companies i.e. Greene King, Design & build contractors, Local Authorities and religious establishments.

Stephen Staines

Job Titles:

  • Chartered Structural Engineer
Qualifications: BEng (Hons) CEng MIStructE Stephen has been a Chartered Structural Engineer for over 20 years and is a Director at Morrish and Partners. Before joining Morrish and Partners he was a director at Richard Jackson. With over 30 years' experience within the construction industry working mainly in the private and for a short time in the public sectors on a wide variety of projects in Education, Commercial, Residential, Retail with new build, refurbishment and conversion.
