AHMAG was formed in 2014 when the threat of bauxite mining galvanised the communities of Morangup, Toodyay, Gidgegannup, Wooroloo and Wundowie... AHMAG's aim is to represent the communities in the shires of Chittering, Victoria Plains, Toodyay and north Swan in relation to the impacts of exploration and mining proposals... The Avon & Hills Mining Awareness Group (AHMAG) has been established by a group of concerned Morangup residents in response to the possibility of mining operations by Bauxite Alumina Joint Ventures (BAJV) as part of their Felicitas Project.
