Alfred Ceramics is the student-run Web Presence for the Division of Ceramic Art at the New York State College of Ceramics (NYSCC). Originally called the New York State School of Clay-Working and Ceramics, NYSCC was created by an act in New York State legislature in 1900 to support the state's growing ceramic industry. Today, NYSCCA is a statutory college at Alfred University that continues to benefit the state through its educational, research, and community outreach activities. NYSCCA encompasses Ceramic Art and Engineering as well as other fields related to art and design. This blog is dedicated specifically to the activities and resources of the Division of Ceramic Art.
