DIABETES CARE UGANDA

Diabetes Care Uganda (DCU) is a diabetes care programme based at the Diabetes Centre of St. Francis Teaching Hospital, Nsambya, Kampala, Uganda. The DCU programme aims to create a Diabetes Centre of Excellence that incorporates patient-centred prevention, treatment, clinical research and education. This perceived Diabetes Centre of Excellence will functions as a "Hub" to accommodate complementary community services including:- patient self- management training programme services; voluntary sector enabling service for patient support groups; staff training; diabetes community researchers; promotion and patient education resources.
