Dr. Scot Laurie, born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, did his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and followed that with his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Laurie is board-certified in both Allergy & Immunology as well as Internal Medicine. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Laurie is currently a clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine in the division of Allergy and Immunology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and is a member of the teaching faculty at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. His current clinical interests include providing comprehensive care for all aspects of allergic disease, including asthma, urticaria, as well as rush immunotherapy, and Dr. Laurie has participated in research involving rush immunotherapy and has published several journal articles in the field of allergy and asthma. Dr. Laurie feels strongly that too many people with allergy problems simply learn to live with their symptoms assuming that little if anything can be done. Dr. Laurie enjoys being outdoors and is an avid swimmer, having swum competitively throughout his youth, high school, and at the University of Kansas. He loves to golf and fish, but his work and home life allow little time for this!
