Dahlia Fetouh

Dahlia Fetouh is Deputy General Counsel. She joined MIT as Counsel in April 2016 and served in that role through March 2021. In addition to assisting the Vice President and General Counsel with his responsibilities, her practice includes managing the Institute's involvement in litigation and other legal proceedings and providing advice on a wide variety of matters concerning student life, intellectual property, employment, compliance, risk and other Institute affairs. Before coming to MIT, Ms. Fetouh was a partner at Goodwin Procter, where she practiced for over 13 years. Ms. Fetouh was a member of Goodwin Procter's Business Litigation Group and its Appellate Litigation Practice. Her practice focused on complex business and commercial litigation, including representing companies in connection with contract disputes, internal investigations and appeals. Ms. Fetouh also advised clients on managing and avoiding litigation risk. She was a member of the firm's hiring committee and maintained an active pro bono practice, with a focus on housing and poverty issues. Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Ms. Fetouh clerked for the Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Ms. Fetouh graduated from Princeton University and received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the New York University School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and an editor for the New York University Law Review. David Suski

David Suski joined MIT as Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel in September 2012. Mr. Suski is the on-site legal advisor for MIT's Lincoln Laboratory and serves as the Office of General Counsel advisor for legal matters affecting the Lab and its personnel. At Lincoln Laboratory, he focuses on contractual issues arising out of the Lab's national defense research, with particular focus MIT's contract with the Department of Defense for the operation of the Laboratory. Additionally, he provides interpretations of federal and state laws and regulations and advises the Lab and its personnel on their applicability and effect in areas such as federal contract compliance, federal data rights, cybersecurity, federal appropriations, and export control compliance matters. Key responsibilities include the drafting of legal documents, contracts, legislative materials, and other correspondence to ensure that the interests of the Laboratory are safeguarded, while also advising MIT and Laboratory management about the legal implications of actions under consideration and providing recommendations where appropriate. At Lincoln Laboratory, Mr. Suski serves as the Laboratory's Ethics Officer and leads the Laboratory's Ethics and Compliance Assurance Office. The Ethics and Compliance Assurance Office is responsible for implementing and administering the MIT Lincoln Laboratory ethics program, and resolving related matters that may arise. Before joining MIT, Mr. Suski served as Assistant General Counsel with the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Suski developed significant expertise in the areas of national security law, government contracts, administrative law, government ethics, and congressional affairs. During his time with the U.S. Government he supervised an office totaling several dozen employees and served as the Chairman of the Office of General Counsel's hiring committee. Mr. Suski began law practice with the law firm Hale and Dorr LLP, advising drug, biologic, and medical device companies on regulatory matters before the Food and Drug Administration. Mr. Suski graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law where he was a member of the Virginia Law Review's Editorial Board, an Articles Editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law, and a Dillard Fellow. Prior to law school, he earned a B.A. and an M.A. from Catholic University.

Erin Ahern - Chief Legal Officer

Erin Ahern joined MIT's Office of the General Counsel in May 2014. As Director of Administration and Legal Operations, Ms. Ahern manages the legal operations of the OGC, and the administrative and financial operations for both the OGC and the office of Risk Management and Compliance Services. Prior to MIT, Ms. Ahern worked as a paralegal at the law firms McDermott, Will & Emery, LLP and Fish & Richardson, PC. Ms. Ahern received her Bachelor's degree from Saint Anselm College in 2004.

Genevieve Aguilar - Chief Legal Officer

Genevieve Aguilar joined MIT's Office of the General Counsel in September 2022. Her areas of responsibilities focus on advising departments, labs, and centers on labor & employment matters and student & faculty affairs. In addition, she is one of the OGC attorneys who manages litigation and other legal proceedings. Before coming to MIT, Ms. Aguilar worked at the Office of the General Counsel for Harvard University focusing on a range of matters, including faculty and student affairs, labor and employment, litigation, immigration, stem cell and human fetal tissue, diversity and inclusion programming, and investigations. Ms. Aguilar also practiced at the Boston law firm, Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP, for several years, concentrating her practice in the areas of complex trial and appellate litigation, labor and employment issues, and government investigations. Ms. Aguilar graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she received the Earle K. Shawe Award as the outstanding labor relations student. She also graduated magna cum laude and phi beta kappa from Colorado College with a degree in International Political Economy. Jay Wilcoxson

Jay Wilcoxson joined MIT as Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel in August 2007. Before coming to MIT, Mr. Wilcoxson practiced law for a decade at the Boston law firm Goodwin Procter LLP, where he became a partner in 2005. As a litigation attorney, he represented businesses in a broad range of commercial disputes, with a particular emphasis on trademark and copyright cases. He was a member of the firm's hiring committee and was actively involved in leading firm training initiatives and serving as a mentor to junior associates. Kristin Garvin

Kristin Garvin joined MIT as Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel in May 2020. Her responsibilities include managing real estate matters involving all academic facilities and institute-owned properties. Before joining MIT, Ms. Garvin served as Director and Senior Counsel, North America Real Estate at Iron Mountain, overseeing real estate legal matters for more than 700 facilities in the US and Canada. Prior to that role, she served as Senior Counsel at American Tower, where she worked on both real estate matters and national wireless customer matters. Ms. Garvin began her legal career at Sullivan & Worcester LLP as a real estate associate where her practice focused on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, financing, sales and acquisitions. Lorry Spitzer

Lorry Spitzer joined MIT as Counsel in August, 2017. He handles a wide variety of tax, charitable giving and corporate governance issues at the Institute, including joint venture agreements, gift agreements, analysis of unrelated business taxable income issues, tax assistance for MITIMCo, and internal tax issues involving employee benefits and other payroll tax issues. Prior to becoming a partner at Ropes & Gray, LLP in 1990, Lorry worked for the Office of Tax Policy at the U.S. Treasury. He has been an adjunct professor of tax policy and tax exempt organizations at both Boston College Law School and Harvard Law School. He is an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys, the American Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. Lorry is also a member of the NYC-based Nonprofit Forum, which is sponsored by the National Center for Philanthropy and the Law. Mark C. DiVincenzo - Chief Legal Officer, VP

Mark DiVincenzo is MIT's Vice President and General Counsel. In addition to serving the Institute as its chief legal officer, he is a member of the President's senior leadership team and senior advisor to the President. He is also primarily responsible for Institute policies, and oversees the Institute risk management and compliance functions. Mr. DiVincenzo joined MIT in 2001. He served as MIT's Deputy General Counsel from 2007-2015. Mr. DiVincenzo graduated from Boston College with a BA in Political Science, magna cum laude, and the Cornell Law School, with a JD. Mr. DiVincenzo currently serves as a member of the Oversight Board of the BU/MIT Startup and Technology Law Clinics and the AAU General Counsel Steering Committee. Matt Fucci joined MIT's Office of the General Counsel in August 2018. He handles a wide variety of transactions relating to the Institute's research and education missions, including international and domestic collaborations, agreements related to educational programs and agreements that involve intellectual property. Prior to joining MIT, Mr. Fucci was Counsel at Ropes & Gray LLP, where he practiced for a decade and worked with a wide range of academic research institutions, companies and investors in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and other high tech fields. Meghan McCollum Fenno

Meghan McCollum Fenno joined MIT as Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel in 2017, became Director of OSATT's Strategic Transactions Team in 2019, and is currently Executive Director of the OSATT Core, and Counsel. Regina Dugan

Regina Dugan joined MIT in 1993, handling increasing responsibilities in the areas of insurance, risk, and claims management, and providing general assistance in contractual dispute resolution. She is knowledgeable in fielding indemnification, liability, and insurance and business travel risk inquiries, and in advising on risk management issues, including student activities, athletics, housing, trips, DLC-sponsored extracurricular programs, programs involving minors, amusements, performances and exhibitions, policy and statute interpretation and compliance. Ms. Dugan provides assistance in collection matters, drafting and negotiating leases, facility use, license and service agreements, and developing and implementing risk management policies and guidelines. Richelle Nessralla

Richelle Nessralla joined MIT in September 2004. She served as Associate Counsel until July 2010, when she was appointed Counsel.
