SCATE

South Coast Alliance for Transport and the Environment (SCATE) is a network of like-minded individuals and independent organisations that are opposed to damaging road building and want to see investment in cleaner and more efficient alternatives instead. It has been established to counter the threat from the Government's obsession with road building along the south coast, whilst starving the coastal railway of investment, and undermining local authorities' ability to support local transport schemes with huge cuts in funding.
