Anja Venter is a Physiotherapist who recently joined our interdisciplinary team. She is experienced in treating acute and chronic pain conditions, sport related injuries, orthopaedic injuries, as well as neurological conditions. Anja completed both the Level 1 and Level 2 Be Activated courses - a revolutionary treatment system that aims to improve resilience of the body by addressing compensatory strategies and muscle imbalances. She brings with her a diverse background in competitive sport and enjoys the outdoors. Her general interests include action netball, running and hiking.
Erika has more than 15 years of experience and maintains a special interest in hand therapy and lymphedema management. Away from work, her time with her family remains a priority on her agenda and enjoys engaging in any outdoor activity whether it be running, hiking, cycling or the like.

Jane is a senior occupational therapist with more than 15 years of experience specialising in hand therapy and work related injuries/illnesses to return to work. Her favourite pastime is reading a good book, spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors and/or being able to do all of the latter together.
Karmine Visagie Physiotherapist Karmine Visagie has been based at our Somerset West branch since 2018. She has over 10 years' experience and has a special interest in the treatment of shoulder and back injuries, whilst also pursuing her interest in neurology. We love Karmine's curiosity and zest for life! During her free time, she enjoys playing squash, running, cooking and fishing (a relatively recent hobby introduced by her husband).
Liezet Basson Occupational Therapist With more than 15 years of experience as Occupational Therapist Liezet specializes in work rehabilitation, functional capacity evaluations, return to work interventions, hand therapy and COID management. Her general interest in sport transcends from golf to jogging, playing netball, enjoying a good book or simply spending time with her children.

Lorinda has worked in the medical administration field since January 2000 and is the welcoming and helpful presence at our front desk in Somerset west. Since embarking on her career in the health sector she honed a special interest in the individual case management of chronic and severe injuries requiring rehabilitation. In her free time she loves cooking and hosting events.
Mariet's extensive years of experience as a physiotherapist allowed her to hone her skills in the assessment and treatment of patients presenting with chronic pain conditions, back pain, neck and Musculoskeletal Injuries. In view of her interest in chronic pain she is also in the process of completing her diploma in pain management at the University of Cape Town. The "patient's perspective" concerning their condition remains a critical factor which she considers in order to implement a holistic treatment plan with the aim to yield the best possible functional outcome.
When she is not at work, she embraces the outdoors with early morning jogging sessions in the beautiful Stellenbosch mountains or alternatively she retreats to the beach for a refreshing hike. Apart from her social interest in theatre and enjoying music on the lawns of Stellenbosch, she also represented South Africa in the World Masters squash tournament.

Marita van der Walt joined our Stellenbosch practice in a professional administration position in January 2022. She has since learned to effectively navigate the challenging arena commonly associated with medical billing systems and are performing a superb role in overcoming some of the complexities associated with different billing systems. Marita is fairly new to the Stellenbosch region as she relocated with her family from Durban in 2021. As she is gradually finding her feet she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, exploring the beautiful Cape Winelands and taking up hiking during her free time.
Melissa Loubser, our physiotherapist based at Therapy in Action's Stellenbosch branch, joined the practice in 2017. She has a special interest in shoulder, knee - and running related injuries. Melissa has a sound understanding of complex pain conditions and furthermore completed her certificate in pain management in 2021, which is complimentary to her pain management approach. Melissa is passionate about community work and remains involved in voluntary projects within her local community. When not at work, she loves spending time in the mountains and exploring interesting trails in surrounding regions
Natasha Maxwell Front desk Stellenbosch Natasha is the gentle and friendly presence at our Stellenbosch front desk. Apart from her administrative responsibilities at reception she has continued to hone her expertise in medical aid coding. When she is not at work she enjoys outdoor camping, embarking on a trip to Robben island (preferably by speed boat!) and spending time with her boys.
Rouche is a qualified physiotherapist who recently joined our Stellenbosch branch. She takes particular interest in neuromuscular and orthopaedic conditions. Rouche believes in quality treatment of patients, whilst keeping a holistic view of them in mind. In her free time, Rouche loves doing arts and crafts, spending time with family and friends, and partakes in Mixed Martial Arts.
Susan has many years of experience as Physiotherapist treating Musculoskeletal Injuries and providing Post operative care , with a special interest in upper limb rehabilitation. When she is not at work , she loves spending time in her garden and hiking in the surrounding mountains.

Vicki specialises in COID cases and occasionally assists with front desk responsibilities at our Somerset West branch. Away from work, she enjoys activities such as chalk painting techniques, updating her facebook page "Vroue wat omgee" and taking pictures which epitomises the beauty of nature.
