Kim Bailey is the director and founder of All Relationship Matters. She is also a lead counsellor and psychotherapist. Kim is a warm, personable and an understanding therapist. She has a unique ability to quickly identify the issues behind a person's struggle. She is deeply passionate about her work with couples, individuals and families. Besides her in-depth training in counselling for individuals, Kim is also trained as a specialist marriage and couples therapist and has additional post-graduate qualifications in Family Therapy. Comprehensive training in these different theoretical and counselling frameworks sets Kim apart from other counsellors and psychotherapists. She is able to get to the heart of complex dynamics and to quickly identify the core issues beneath struggles or difficulties for individual clients, between partners, or within a family. She addresses client needs and issues collaboratively, as thoroughly as the client wishes, and at a pace that is comfortable. Clients can be assured they will be cared for, in a complete way. Kim believes therapy and healing is a two person process and is respectful of how far and deeply a client wishes to travel in therapy at any one time. She is kind, naturally curious and committed to helping you make your relationships work with a strong belief that it is relationships that give life meaning. Kim's qualifications and background include: Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (Mindfulness) Mental Health Certificate, University Of Canberra Post Graduate Diploma of Social Sciences (Family Therapy) Certificate in Single Session Therapy (SSW) Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Fundamentals & Advanced Training (ICEEFT) Training in Emotionally Focused Therapy components below: Certificate in EFT Sexual Dysfunction Certificate in Relationship Trauma - Couples Certificate in Working with Trauma Survivors - Couple. Advanced Training and Facilitator in Building Lasting Connections (BLC). Kim has over seventeen years' experience as a psychotherapist and relationship counsellor. Her work with couples has extended to Europe, Israel, Asia and America. She has an in-depth understanding of cross-cultural relationships and is multi-lingual. Kim also provides psychological services to individuals in the corporate sector. Her soft spot is working with couples that want to keep their family together. Kim volunteers periodically as a pro bono counsellor and co-ordinator for Down Syndrome Victoria. In her spare time, Kim attends Crossfit classes. Kim is a wife, mother of 2 teenage boys, runs a busy home and private practice. Kim also sees students studying counselling or psychology, many from ACAP (Australian College of Applied Psychology), who require individual therapy as part of their coursework. Although students only have to attend one session as mandatory, 80% of her past student clients have stayed with Kim for further sessions, sometimes also bringing their spouses for couple therapy. Kim is a Clinical Member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), a Clinical Member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), and an Advanced level Practising EFT Therapist and Member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focussed Therapy (ICEEFT) in Ottowa, Canada.
