HOUSTON LASIK - Key Persons
A native Houstonian, Dr. Faustina Martinez attended undergraduate school at Houston Baptist University and received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree in May of 2015. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry in May of 2020.
During her time at UHCO, her clinical rotations included HOPE clinic and the University of Houston Eye Center in the Heights. Following her graduation from optometry school, she stayed on board UHCO to complete her residency in ocular disease.
Dr. Martinez' specialties include anterior and posterior segment disease, pre-and post- surgical management, and diseases of the optic nerve head. She is also fluent in Spanish and can provide comprehensive eye care to the Spanish speaking population.
When not indulging her fascination of all things eye related, Dr. Martinez enjoys spending time with friends and family and looking up new recipes for sweet treats. Most importantly, she is very excited to join Houston LASIK & Eye to continue providing to the local community!
Dr. Khokhar goes live on Houston's 1560 AM. He comes on air on the "Ask the Doctor" program. Ask Dr. Khokhar any question you like on eye health during this time.
Dr. Michelle Nguyen is a native Houstonian. She attended undergrad at the University of Houston and went on to complete her optometric degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Her clinical rotations were completed at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the University of Houston Eye Center in the Heights. Dr. Nguyen specializes in diagnosing and managing ocular disease, including, but not limited to, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eyes, and much more.
She is excited to join Houston Lasik & Eye. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors- whether it be camping, cycling, hiking, playing tennis, or anything else- and spending time with family and friends.
