Chief Executive Officer James Crane drives the strategy and growth of IMS Consulting & Expert Services. He was an instrumental force behind the 2019 acquisition of The Focal Point, a procurement which expanded the company's expert witness services to include integrated strategy, jury consulting, trial graphics, and trial presentation services. His mission at IMS is to ensure clients are positioned to succeed in the courtroom and the marketplace. He applies leadership principles set forth in the IMS Core Values to create a culture that aspires to personal excellence (Strive to Exceed Expectations), inclusion (Operate as One) and service to others (Be a Servant Leader). James is a former commercial litigator who worked on significantly high-risk and enterprise-level litigation for Fortune 50 clients. After practicing law, he went on to build and grow companies that operate within the larger legal ecosystem, in such arenas as information governance, data management, electronic discovery, and legal staffing. James has led executive and sales teams and guided several organizations through successful mergers and acquisitions. He has also overseen large-scale brand transformations, market realignments, and process improvement integrations. James Crane holds a law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He also serves on the board of directors of Chaddah, a nonprofit that fights human trafficking.
