There are two types of cell, Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells. Prokaryotic cells are simpler and smaller, with no nucleus, the genetic material (DNA) floats in the cytoplasm. Eukaryotic cells are complex with a nucleus which is where the DNA is stored, with many different organelles. Prokaryotic cells are usually bacteria while Eukaryotic cells are pla nts and animals.
