LIVING TISSUES

We are a young company with an ambition to provide cartilage repair solutions to articular focal damages and osteoarthritis lesions. Our leading edge technology platforms provide us a head start, already obtained very promising results in animal models... We are a spin off from the Tissue Engineering Laboratory at the University of Hong Kong. The Tissue Engineering Lab has developed many technology platforms in the last decade, and these formed the solid foundation of Living Tissues... We at Living Tissues use the donor's stem cells and grow a complex tissue plug, just like the plug used in OATS. The tissues are grown mimicking the natural tissues. The plug is implanted into the damaged area just like the OATS procedure, only that our approach does not require harvesting osteochondral plugs from a donor site. Therefore the area of the repair can be bigger than 3 cm square.
