This Maymester course (4 weeks) will give students the opportunity to explore issues related to agriculture, social systems, and culture within a Caribbean island. In this course, students will examine the role of colonialism, cultural history and social policy in influencing the prevailing societal issues in Trinidad and Tobago and explore various agency programs, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and indigenous projects that are actively responding to the region's major social service needs.
