Aaron Bailey

Aaron Bailey joined the Purdue Technical Assistance Program in 2015. As a Salesforce Certified Platform Developer and Salesforce Certified Administrator, Aaron's responsibilities include CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) for the Purdue University Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) and occasional Salesforce consulting work within the University and other NIST MEP centers. Background: Aaron started his career at S&S Programming in Lafayette, IN, where he performed CI/CD for a number of tools including a custom accounting tool and swine genetics software. Aaron is a graduate of Kaplan University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Application Development in 2011. Aaron also served 12 years in the United States Army Reserve as an Intelligence Analyst (35F).

Adrianne Manning

Adrianne is responsible for the daily administrative functions within our MEP Center, including management of leases, expense and travel reimbursements, fund allocations, procurement expenditures, as well as administrative support for our Leadership Team. She oversees the internal organization of hiring processes and manages all New Hire Best Practice onboarding procedures. Background: Adrianne has a wide variety of skills from customer service to human resources. These skills have allowed her to have some fun and interesting jobs over the years in the variety of states that her and her family have lived in. Working at MEP, she has transferred those skills into valuable assets for the Center.

Responsibilities: Art is the Director of Business Development for Purdue MEP. As the leader of our business development/industry advisory practice, Art provides the team with the resources and support needed to develop and deliver transformational solutions to manufacturing clients across the state of Indiana helping to solve their most pressing business imperatives and optimize their financial and operational performance. Background: Art has 30 years of manufacturing experience as vice president of operations, plant superintendent, manufacturing manager, quality manager, lead quality auditor, metrology lead technician, and inspector. Prior to his current role, Art was a senior industry advisor with Purdue MEP specializing in the food and beverage manufacturing sector. During Art's career, he has worked with over 100 different businesses in the following industries: logistics/distribution, medical device manufacturing, food manufacturing, meat packing, automotive, aerospace, custom manufacturing, specialty service, and mass production. Art has a degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering from Purdue University, an MBA from Indiana University, a Masters of IT from Purdue Global, and a Bachelors in General Bible Studies. He also is a certified Purdue Six Sigma Black Belt.

Ashley Mote

Her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and account management expertise afford Ashley a solid basis for unparalleled customer service. Prior to Purdue MEP, Ashley worked as a program director with the Indiana Family & Social Services' IN211 division as well as a training and project coordinator for Purdue Healthcare Advisors' Rural and Public Health Process Improvement Team.

Cindy Farrer

Responsibilities: Leveraging her extensive industry experience, Cindy coaches, mentors, and advises Purdue MEP clients on all aspects of Supply Chain Management / Optimization and QMS strategy (leadership, implementation, and maintenance of existing QMS certifications) and related tools and techniques. She is also responsible for designing and maintaining existing simulations, training, and consulting materials for those topics and manages our QT9 Quality Management System. Background: Cindy has extensive global leadership experience in manufacturing and supply chain, spanning a variety of roles - across companies including Allegion, Ingersoll Rand, Delphi Automotive Systems, and General Motors, prior to joining the Purdue MEP in October 2023. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Integrated Supply Chain for Allegion, overseeing Allegion's 30+ global manufacturing operations and supply chain, with plants and a supplier base across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. This includes strategies and processes to advance supply chain design and resiliency, footprint, lean and factory automation, ESG, organizational development, and health and safety of Allegion's 11,000+ employees. Highly involved in her community, Cindy served as chairman of the board for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis in 2020. She was also elected to and served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Manufacturing (NAM) for the 2023 term. Cindy graduated from Purdue with both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Industrial Engineering. Purdue honored Cindy by inducting her into the Purdue Cooperative Education Hall of Fame in 2014 and as Outstanding Industrial Engineer in 2020. As a mother of four daughters, a female executive, and someone who has worked to inspire other women in manufacturing, Cindy was honored by The Manufacturing Institute as an inaugural STEP Ahead Award winner in 2013.

Dietra Rosenkoetter

In addition, Dietra actively collaborates in the development of new products and services at Purdue MEP and has successfully partnered with a local EDC to create a training network model. Background: Prior to joining Purdue MEP, Dietra was employed by a quasi-government organization, the Indiana Business Modernization and Technology Corporation (BMT), serving initially as the Machine Tool Industry Program Manager, and ultimately as Vice-President of External Relations. During that time, she launched and facilitated three machine tool task forces and several lean networks. Dietra also held positions in R & D, engineering, HR, and marketing in the machine tool and medical diagnostic equipment manufacturing arenas. Dietra holds a B.A. degree in Journalism from Purdue University.

The majority of his career was consumed with Ford Motor Company where he was responsible for various manufacturing operations in high volume, close tolerance machining, and assembly operations including a/c compressors, power steering pumps and rack, and pinion steering gear components. Elise Langenberg

Responsibilities: Elise is for responsible for developing and cultivating new client relationships to support the industry advisor team at Purdue MEP. Elise has excellent communication skills and provides the team with extensive support in the Center's pursuit of providing Indiana manufacturers with affordable solutions to their manufacturing challenges. Background: Elise has a Master of Science with a Management concentration from Indiana State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University. She has over 20 years of experience in the professional work environment including safety and health compliance enforcement, management, sales and marketing, risk management/worker's compensation, university educator and instructor for certificate programs.

Background: Gene comes to us from Purdue's VACCINE (Visual Analytics for Command, Control, and Interoperability Environments) Center, where he served as Managing Director. Previously, Gene worked for Caterpillar for several years as a New Product Introduction Team Lead. Gene served our country for most of his career as an officer with the Navy, having served on three different submarines. He holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, a Master's degree in Management for Organizational Effectiveness from Marymount University, and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Background: Jeff has 20 years of manufacturing experience most recently as vice president of operations and logistics but has also served as a supply chain manager, quality manager, safety manager, operations group leader, and many front-line logistics and operations supervision roles. Jeff has also served as a Lean project manager, running complex projects that created large savings and efficiencies gains for the corporations he served. Jeff's experience has spanned working in both large Fortune 500 companies, as well as small to mid-size companies. Jennifer Christie

Background: Jennifer has decades of experience as a Master Black Belt and process improvement leader where she completed projects, designed curriculum, coached, and certified black belts, green belts, and champions all over the world. She spent over 9 years at Covance, one of the world's largest and most comprehensive drug development services, and 10+ years as a leader in sustainability and business development. She graduated from Purdue University, earning a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Biology. She also minored in mathematics and has a passion for teaching and communicating technical subjects so that they can be applied to real-world solutions.

Jeremiah Sinks

John Catenacci

John provides consulting services in the areas of Lean and Manufacturing Skills for Success. Background: John is a manufacturing professional. He is experienced in front-line supervision and has worked up to the executive offices as the vice president of operations. Forty years of proven results across a broad spectrum of profit-oriented processes qualifies him as an Advanced Manufacturing Consultant for Purdue MEP. He has a servant leadership style with a passion for leading and developing people. Whether it's the development of material blends that lead to cost savings and reduced environmental impact, new process development that earned him Menasha Corporation's Presidential Award for Excellence for procedural developments that provide a safer and leaner work environment, the results come by way of developing the team and empowering them to sustain the savings, leaving the organization stronger as a result. The practical application of logical problem solving and statistical techniques are hallmarks of his style. John earned his management degree from the University of Cincinnati and has held operations and engineering positions at global packaging firms including 20 years with Menasha/Orbis Corporation and five-year stints with Graham Engineering and Huhtamaki Americas. He also has experience in automotive and consumer goods custom manufacturing. He takes an inside-out approach to cost savings. His deep understanding of manufacturing cost variance, sources of waste, and plant processes gives him a unique perspective on problem solving. He knows his way around a P and L statement. John Drach

Responsibilities: John is the Technical Assistance Program (TAP) Manager for Purdue MEP. He works to provide high-value solutions to increase profitability for Indiana businesses and to improve the productivity of the state and local government. The TAP program utilizes Purdue University faculty, students, and staff. John is responsible for the TAP40 program, also known as Faculty Assistance Projects. Up to 40 hours a year of federally funded assistance is available from faculty to qualifying businesses throughout the state of Indiana. This assistance is to address an acute need with a discrete solution. The need may be to determine what to fix, how to fix it, where to start, or where to go. TAP40 solutions may take the form of guidance, analysis, or validation. Background: John has more than 30 years of manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and operations experience with large, medium, and small manufacturers. His background includes expertise in the automotive, HVAC, consumer goods, chemical, oil, plastics, and healthcare industries. John started his career as a classic industrial engineer, working his way up to managing multiple plant operations. More recently, John has been working in global Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) focusing on improving on-time/in-full deliveries to big-box retailers as well as global customers. He also has experience as a senior engineer with integrator.com and has completed manufacturing automation projects for customers throughout Indiana. During his time with Delco Remy in Anderson, IN, Jon held positions as senior project engineer, team leader, and technical training supervisor. Jon is also a registered Professional Engineer in Indiana. Jon has experience as an instructor for the skilled trades apprentice program and he has also instructed Digital Fundamentals at the Purdue University statewide campus in Anderson. Jon Reneberg

Responsibilities: Joe serves as the Senior Advisor for Workforce Partnerships at Purdue MEP. In this role, Joe is responsible for the management and continued development of MEP's workforce initiatives. With a focus on connecting the manufacturing sector to training and funding sources, Joe advises industry partners on the availability of manufacturing training programs that will either upskill incumbent staff or provide a pipeline of employees with fundamental manufacturing skills. His primary responsibility is to leverage Purdue MEP's extensive technical strengths and training capabilities for the purpose of developing Indiana's workforce and favorably positioning our state's manufacturing sector. Joe is uniquely positioned for this role due to his extensive manufacturing knowledge and experience crafting and delivering Purdue MEP's leadership development programs, including the Leadership Skills for Success workforce initiative. Joe also launched Purdue MEP's Peer Groups and ExporTech™, a national export assistance program that helps companies enter or expand in global markets. Background: Joe has held multiple executive positions overseeing all aspects of business, including operations/manufacturing, engineering, hardware and software development, quality assurance, project management, purchasing, material control and distribution, organizational development and human resources, sales and marketing, contract negotiation, and accounting. Julie Warner

Kevin Walton

Background: Kevin obtained a BSEE from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and received his MBA from the University of Illinois with a Certificate of Academic Excellence. His experience includes over 25 years in product design and development, strategy, and manufacturing operations, automated assembly and test, reliability, management systems for quality and environmental compliance, systems engineering, and program management for the automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, and electronics industries. Kevin spent time at Cummins (CMI), TRW (ZF), Ford Motor, and US Naval Air Warfare Center where he led global teams for a variety of projects. Kevin has consulted for clients in the healthcare, education, and medical device industries as well. Kevin is an expert in the application and training of several management system standards, technology development, systems engineering, Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ), and other innovation methodologies. He has been certified in many specialties including as a CMI Master Blackbelt skilled in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Lean Process Six Sigma. Background: Prior to his role as Senior Industry Advisor, Kyle spent four years at Purdue MEP as a Technology Acceleration Specialist focusing on assisting manufacturers in incorporating advanced manufacturing capabilities into their operations. Lucy Nelson

As Operations Support Manager, Lucy is responsible for all scheduling, data analysis, materials, and logistics required to support the Purdue MEP subject matter experts, consultants, and advisors working with manufacturers throughout Indiana. She also manages the resource scheduling and invoicing processes, as well as the associated funding requirements. Lucy utilizes the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and impact survey system to collect, analyze, and organize performance data to support operating plans, center performance reviews, and other reports to Purdue University and the Center's funding partners. Background: Lucy is a graduate of Purdue University in Mechanical Engineering Technology with a focus on Quality Systems and another plan of study in Computer Integrated Manufacturing Technology. She has extensive manufacturing experience in automotive, cabinetry, pharmaceutical, and nutrition (both animal and human).

Responsibilities: As the Director of Manufacturing Services, Michael is responsible for Purdue MEP's manufacturing services including the delivery of training and consulting offerings, new product development, quality systems, the Center's performance measures, and related data management systems. Background: Michael has more than 25 years of manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and operations experience with large public and small private manufacturers. He has held several positions within the automotive, personal products, specialty food & feed chemicals, industrial equipment, and building materials industries. Michael has worked as an industrial engineer and production supervisor, managed full operations for single plants and multiple sites throughout the U.S., led international manufacturing and distribution facilities, and served on senior executive leadership teams. Previously, he was corporate vice president of operations for a large, building materials company with 21 manufacturing and distribution branches nationwide. In addition to the operations leadership background, Michael is trained and certified in Lean Six Sigma. He has served as project leader, project champion, and executive sponsor for multiple continuous improvement and operational excellence projects. Michael graduated with distinction from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Xavier University. Prior to his role as Director of Manufacturing Services, Michael was a Senior Industry Advisor for Purdue MEP, focusing his efforts on developing relationships with manufacturers in southern Indiana to provide consultation, training, and technical assistance services.
