Robin Siegel

Robin Siegel graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in Mathematics and worked as a programmer in Ann Arbor and Boston before returning to Wayne State University to attend law school. Once she graduated, Robin clerked for a United States District Judge in the Eastern District of Michigan and then worked as a staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for Fifth Circuit in New Orleans. Robin came back to Michigan and began working as an associate Immigration Attorney at the law firm of Michael Piston, P.C. She was grateful to have found a strong and diligent teacher in Michael Piston. In 1998, Robin started the firm out of her home. Over the years, she has found great satisfaction in growing the business into the firm it is today with two partners, and a staff of accomplished, experienced and dedicated immigration attorneys. In 2015 she retired from Siegel, Gross, & Tou PC, devoting more time to her hobbies and causes close to her heart. Sandra Gross

Sandra Gross was an immigrant herself, and came to the United States with her parents at the age of 9 without knowing a word of English. She caught on pretty quickly though, and in high school, won the prize as the top English student. After attending Wayne State University and getting her Bachelor's in mathematics and a teaching certificate, she worked as a secondary math teacher. Three years later, she decided to enroll at the University of Michigan Law School, and after graduating with honors, clerked in the Michigan Court of Appeals. She was then hired as a corporate attorney at Michigan Bell, where she specialized in contracts and real estate. She left the corporate world and used her love of teaching and communications skills to work as a professor at Wayne State University's Law School, teaching legal research and writing and training law students to excel at their profession. After a chance meeting with Robin Siegel in 2001, Sandra joined her practice in order to work in the field of immigration, representing people from other countries wishing to live and work in the US. She focused primarily on employment based green cards, L-1's, Adjustment of Status and Multi National Managers. She filed numerous labor certifications since PERM went into effect, and succeeded in winning appeals at BALCA and BIA. Now retired, Sandra's hobby is international folk dancing. His practice experience covers virtually all aspects of American corporate immigration, including nonimmigrant visas, permanent residence, and employment authorization compliance. Sonila Tota Hanku

Sonila Tota Hanku's interest in immigration law stems from her personal experience. Sonila is a law graduate from the Tirana University School of Law, Albania. Upon graduation, she moved and joined her husband in Turin, Italy, and later on moved to the United States. In this way, Sonila understands firsthand the complexities of living in foreign countries, overcoming language and cultural barriers, prejudice, and the difficulties of naturalization. Sonila is a full-time paralegal at our firm with ten years of experience in Immigration Law. Her expertise includes assisting attorneys with employment-based nonimmigrant petitions (H-1B, TN, L-1A/B, E-3, and R-1) for large and small companies. Sonila serves as a liaison between attorneys and clients while providing timely and professional service to all. Sonila enjoys spending time with her family, watching soccer and cheering on her Real Madrid soccer team.
