DANIELS STUDIO

I was born in Guyana in 1975 and spent most of my childhood in the Caribbean where I nurtured an insatiable appetite for drawing and painting. At age 16, my fascination with the arts led me to pursue an Associate Degree in Fine Art, Mathematics, and Physics at the Barbados Community College. Ten years later I received a Masters of Architecture Degree from Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida. I am convinced that my training as an architect has greatly enhanced my perception and articulation of the spaces within my paintings. These spaces, rich and vibrant with color, emerge from behind the seemingly mundane facades of people and animals around me... Painting allows me the freedom to explore and celebrate the rapture that is often hidden within the simple and mundane events of everyday life.
